Lisa Hochstein Owes Lawyers $85K Amid Bitter Split from Ex Lenny Hochstein
Lisa Hochstein is racking up a substantial legal bill amid her bitter split from her estranged husband, Lenny Hochstein. The Real Housewives of Miami star’s lawyers have filed court documents that claim that Lisa owes them more than $85k, per a Page Six report.
In documents obtained by the outlet, attorney Paul Leinoff states that the Peacock star owes $49,171.48 for “legal fees, costs and suit monies due to Leinoff & Lemos, P.A.”
The attorney also asserts that the reality star owes an additional $35,841.90 for services rendered by accounting firm Kaufman Rossin & Co. The legal debt continues to grow as interest has been tagged on since Lisa first retained the team of lawyers, in late April.
The firms are asking for a cut of Lisa’s future divorce settlement to settle the debts.
Lisa’s rep addressed the filing, telling the outlet — “As is customary in divorce proceedings, there is a hearing scheduled in April to determine who’s responsible for the legal fees. As of now, Lenny is not giving the support that is customary in this situation.”
Lisa, 40, has been seeking emergency financial help ever since the famed plastic surgeon filed for divorce. In November, the mom of two claimed in court documents that she was unable to buy diapers and food for her children because Lenny, 56, had cut off access to her credit cards.
Lenny responded by noting that his soon-to-be ex was raking in $30k per episode for appearing on RHOM. Lisa claimed in documents filed on November 16 that she tried to purchase essentials for their youngest child, only to have her American Express card declined. Lenny and Lisa share two children, Logan, 7, and Elle, 3.
The documents stated — “[Lenny’s] clear strategy now is to force [Lisa] into submission by refusing to provide [Lisa] or minor children with any direct support.”
In December, Lenny accused Lisa of blowing $9k on designer clothes in just one week, days before he put a monthly budget in place. He forced her to return high-end bags, for cash to use on the kids. Lenny, who called Lisa’s support requests “excessive,” pointed out that she remains in their Star Island mansion and “drives luxury vehicles including a Range Rover and a Rolls-Royce.”
Lenny previously stated that according to their prenup agreement, Lisa was required to vacate the marital home within 30 days of either party filing for divorce.
Last month, Lisa advised the self-proclaimed “boob god” to pull it together in public after he accused her of treating him “like a servant” during their marriage. Lenny made the claim in response to an Instagram user.
“Lenny please stop embarrassing yourself. We have kids,” Lisa fired back, posting an image of a report that covered Lenny’s accusation.
Lisa and Lenny are reportedly in talks to settle the matter of support without court involvement.
The Real Housewives of Miami is currently streaming on Peacock.
