Gia Giudice Is One Step Closer To Becoming A Lawyer and Reversing Her Dad’s Deportation
Teresa Giudice’s daughter, Gia Giudice, is one step closer to adding an esquire title to her name.
Teresa’s eldest daughter has confirmed that she has immediate career plans after graduating from college.
Gia Giudice, 22, will be working at Martinez Immigration, a virtual law firm run by sole practitioner Kathleen Martinez. The lawyer first announced the news on January 30 with a video on her Instagram page.
“What? Like it’s hard?” the beginning of the video’s caption read, paying homage to the film Legally Blonde. “We are so excited to welcome [Gia Giudice] to the firm!! Welcome to Martinez Immigration firm, Gia!”
Gia’s exact role at the firm is unclear. Due to her lack of law school or bar exam experience (though she plans to, more on that later), Gia could become an intern or paralegal at the firm.
Bravo TV previously interviewed Gia about her plans to attend law school.
“After I graduate, I am pursuing my dream of going to law school,” she said. “My hope for the future is to become a very successful lawyer and have a lucrative clothing business on the side.”
During an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2021, Gia explained that her parents’ experiences with the legal system inspired her interest in law. In December 2015, Teresa Giudice served 11 months of her 15-month sentence, while Gia’s dad, Joe Giudice, is exploring his legal options following his deportation post-prison.
“Their whole experience influenced me, honestly, for the better,” Gia explained during the WWHL episode, which aired in May 2021. “I just want to help families and be able to be there for families and help children, honestly, especially.”
Many fans cheered on Gia‘s big announcement with supportive feedback.
One person wrote, “Immigration law is perfect for her. I know her dad messed up, but he lived in America since 5.” Another shared, “YAS QUEENS 💕PAINTING THE COURTHOUSES PINK ONE WOMAN AT A TIME.”
Someone else commented, “Gia really is moving up in life! Everyone around her should be proud of her accomplishments. She’s truly a star.”
“Brains and beauty are a dangerous combination!!” A fan stated.
Another responded, “This is amazing!! Congrats, it’s great to see you working towards meaningful change.”
One supporter posted, “What??? Congratulations Gia!!”
Gia shared that she wanted to work as a paralegal while she applied to law schools on her LinkedIn page. Gia will graduate from Rutgers University in Spring 2023.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 premieres Tuesday, February 7, at 9 p.m. ET.
