Kelly Ripa Shades Husband Mark Consuelos — Reveals His Shocking Remarks As She Prepared to Give Birth
Kelly Ripa spilled some inside tea about her husband, Mark Consuelos, while answering a fan question posted on the official ABC social media account. The Live host revealed what her husband said to her shortly before she gave birth in her response to an expectant father.
The question read—“What is one thing that your partner did, said or brought to the hospital that really helped you through your birth experience?”
Kelly responded in the comment section, which was shared by “Comments by Celebs” with the caption—”Can’t make it up.”
The daytime host wrote that Mark said— “‘Do you mind if I eat?” and “I’m going to the batting cages since you’re gonna be here a while.’”
Many women could relate and shared their own horror stories that they experienced with their own husbands.
One person wrote— “He asked why I didn’t bring his phone charger, and then said he’d go home. We’re divorced now.”
Another commenter shared— “Under the harsh lighting, after I asked him to tell me a story so I wouldn’t think about being gutted, he told me I needed my roots done.”
A third chimed in—”I’ll be right back, I’m gonna go out and celebrate the birth of our child, I’ll bring you extra clothes tho.”
Kelly confessed to a “borderline shameful” activity shared with her hubby when co-host, Ryan Seacrest, asked how she and Mark had spent the weekend, during a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan.
Ryan asked—”So how was the weekend? You said you and Mark did something cute?”
The 52-year-old host replied—”I wouldn’t call it cute, I would call it borderline shameful!”
She shared—”We changed from our day pajamas into our evening pajamas at 2pm on a Saturday and spent the day in our pajamas.”
Kelly admitted—“First of all, that just seems like we’ve given up,” which prompted laughter from both Ryan and the live audience.
She explained—“But he was on one side of the sofa looking for sporting events to DVR while watching, and I sat there knitting! And I turned to him and I said, ‘we are 87-years-old, we have gone from middle-age into our retirement selves’, and he looked at me and said, ‘it’s kinda great isn’t it?’”
Earlier this month, Kelly sparked online chatter after she appeared visibly sick while hosting the daytime show. Carson Kressley and DJ Deja Vu eventually stepped in as guest hosts while Kelly recovered at home.
One fan wrote—“@KellyRipa thinks she is doing the world a favor by working while sick. Oblivious to her privilege, selfishness, and insanity. Have people always been this depraved? What would possess this network to think this was even remotely acceptable? @LiveKellyRyan?”
Another viewer took aim at the network for keeping Kelly on air.
The fan tweeted—“She should be resting at home. There’s no reason he couldn’t host alone or she could have worked work from home via zoom. Employers have to stop waiting for employees to insist they can’t work. You can hear she’s sick, send her home & protect your workplace.”
