Harry Hamlin Blames Sutton Stracke For Lisa Rinna’s ‘RHOBH’ Exit 

Harry Hamlin is claiming that Lisa Rinna’s decision to leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is tied to the Season 12 feud with her co-star, Sutton Stracke.

The “Mad Men” alum spilled the alleged backstory while attending the Creative Coalition and Entertainment Weekly’s Spotlight Initiative Awards Gala Dinner, a Sundance Film Festival event, over the weekend.  

Hamlin claimed that his wife left the show because fans sided with Sutton, amid the duo’s disagreement over Elton John gala tickets. 

A Page Six snitch overheard the actor informing a group of people on Saturday that Rinna, 59, “might still be on the show” if the beef with Sutton had not occurred.  

“Lisa had all the receipts from that night, but they never showed the receipts on the reunion,” the eyewitness heard Hamlin explain.  

The 71-year-old actor went on, claiming that the couple received tickets to the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards Viewing Party in 2019 from IMDb, not from Sutton. 

“She might still be on the show had Sutton not said that,” he said, according to the insider. “She might still be on the show, but the audience believed Sutton.”

The bystander reported that Hamlin added that his wife was at peace with her decision to leave the show, after appearing for eight seasons.

“All good things come to an end. She took it as far as she could take it,” he said, according to the outlet’s source. “Now I’m working like crazy so she doesn’t have to work.” 

RHOBH fans know that Sutton stirred up drama during a September 2021 appearance on Watch What Happens Live when she quipped that she never received a “thank you” after Rinna and Hamlin attended the Oscars party as her guests. The former soap opera actress told a different tale — that they had obtained tickets elsewhere but sat with Sutton after the boutique owner invited them to do so.  

Rinna explained during a scene filmed with Kyle Richards that Harry had texted Sutton to inform her that they had been going to the event as “guests of Elton’s” for years. Astute fans called out Rinna after she explained that the couple “always gets” tickets, without mentioning ever hosting a table, purchasing tickets, or even donating to the highlighted charity. 

In October, Andy Cohen revealed that the mysterious manila envelope Rinna toted to the Season 12 reunion taping contained “receipts relating to the Elton John AIDS Foundation ticket snafu.” Cohen did not elaborate on the actual content of the paperwork.  

“We just wound up cutting it all out,” the Bravo executive explained, adding that “there were a lot of decisions made in the edit to cut down many conversations.”

The Bravo boss confirmed that “every topic” from the season was discussed and “beat to death,” and that the cast “filmed for a very long time” and “talked about a lot.”

“We had a lot to get into three episodes,” he explained. “If [the reunion] had been any longer, I feel like everyone would’ve complained that it was too long, but now people are complaining, ‘Why didn’t you talk about this more? Why didn’t you talk about that more?’”

While Rinna and her husband have pushed the narrative that the actress’ RHOBH departure was voluntary, many believe that Bravo axed the reality star after fans relentlessly slammed Rinna’s controversial social media antics and messy behavior on the show.  

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to begin Season 13 production this month.
