Alec Baldwin Downplays ‘Sexually Suggestive’ Photo Caption of Hilaria and 6-Year-Old Son
Alec Baldwin took to Instagram to adjust a caption linked to a posted photo of his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, receiving a back rub from their 6-year-old son, Leo, after being called out by fans and followers.
The actor initially captioned the post — “The old ‘let me give you a back rub’ ploy,” which prompted backlash from disgusted fans, who labeled the caption “sexually suggestive.”
“That’s a pretty f–king weird comment to make on a photo of your son and his mother 😂,” one fan wrote on the first post made by the “30 Rock” alum since prosecutors announced that they planned to charge him with manslaughter.
Another person said—“This caption is disgusting.”
A third chimed in—“SexuaIizing children is always so weird but your own child? Yikes.”
The 64-year-old actor later added — “Potato chips to follow,” noting the negative feedback in the comment section.
“I adjusted the text. I guess because…you know…there is so much of that Reddit trash out there,” Baldwin wrote in the post’s comment section.
Reddit users have been swapping banter about the “Boss Baby” actor and his wife for years, and many don’t believe that Hilaria carried her own babies during her so-called pregnancies. The ex-yoga instructor was forced to defend herself in August 2022 against rumors that her baby bump was a fake.
“My friends made a good point about my belly,” Baldwin’s wife captioned a reflection selfie. “It kind of looks fake like I ate a ball.
“I guess the psycho conspiracy theorists online with way too much time on their hands have somewhat of a point here,” Hilaria, who shares seven children with Baldwin, added.
Baldwin is currently facing a legal battle over the October 2021 fatal shooting of “Rust” cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins. The film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, will be charged with involuntary manslaughter, Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies wrote in a statement, last week. Reed faces a potential maximum jail sentence of 18 months.
“On my watch, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice,” Carmack-Altwies said.
Baldwin’s attorney labeled the charge against his client “a terrible miscarriage of justice.”
“Mr. Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun — or anywhere on the movie set. He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds,” Luke Nikas told Page Six.
He added — “We will fight these charges, and we will win.”
