‘Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Enjoys ‘Fun Night Out With Friends’ Post-Kody Split

Sister Wives star Janelle Brown is enjoying herself now that she’s a single woman. She went axe throwing with friends following her split from Kody Brown.

“Had so much fun at a local axe throwing place here in Flag [sic],” the TLC personality, 53, captioned an Instagram post on Saturday, January 21. “Fun night out with friends!! Glad for the few pointers the crew gave me that helped me finally get [an] axe to stick. I have to say I’m not very good at this yet — we will be back!”

As part of her post, Janelle Brown shared various photos of her throwing an axe at the wooden wall bullseye, writing across one photo that she had “such a blast.”

She visited the Happiest Place on Earth with her youngest daughter, Savanah Brown, just one week earlier. In addition to Savanah, 18, Janelle and Kody also have Madison, Logan, Gabe, Hunter, and Garrison.

“Savanah talked me into actually wearing a pair of ears,” Janelle captioned a selfie via her Instagram Stories on January 16, while smiling in Disney World.

Her recent outings come just over one month after Janelle confirmed that she and the polygamist, 54, had split after almost 30 years together. The former couple made the revelation during part 3 of the Sister Wives: One on One tell-all.

“I’m not waiting for him,” she clarified. “I’ve kind of mourned that that part of our life is gone. I wasn’t heartbroken. It wasn’t heartbreaking for me like it was for Christine. I just mourned that that life was gone. We had a great run.”

Kody Brown

In addition to Kody and Janelle’s split, he also divorced Christine and Meri Brown. The only remaining wife is Robyn Brown.

Season 17 of Sister Wives mainly focused on Christine and Kody’s nasty split. During part two of the Sister Wives tell-all special, Kody accused Christine of blaming him for the issues in their marriage to “assuage her guilt.”

“I’m fine with it that she’s like, listen, ‘I’m not a fit here. I gotta move on,'” Kody, 53, says to host Sukanya Krishnan. “But what she’s actually doing is, ‘Broke my baby’s heart. I don’t respect him.’ ‘Coward. I don’t respect him.’ ‘Picks favorites. I don’t respect him.’ Just name it, she’s been s—-talking me.”

“Breaking up a marriage when you’re not in love, I get it. But to assuage her guilt, she has blamed me for everything, including to her children and Janelle’s kids,” Kody explains.

He continued, “And as a result, combined with COVID issues, those relationships have been pulled away from me, including — and this is the one that I don’t understand — Janelle.”

Kody claimed Christine tried “to assuage her guilt by saying I’m a bad man.”

“I get it. She needs to do that so she can find another man who will trust her,” Kody shared. “Because if she leaves a good man, most guys are gonna go, ‘This is risky.'”

Christine addressed how Kody revealed how he was turned off when she would speak ill of her fellow sister wives: Meri Brown, Janelle Brown and Robyn Brown. However, Christine viewed her actions as merely “venting.”

Christine announced her split from Kody, 53, in November 2021 after 25 years together. News of the separation came ahead of the TLC hit’s 16th season.

During the tell-all special, Kody confirmed that his union with Meri ended their 32-year polygamous relationship. The revelation came after Meri was shown footage of Kody saying he doesn’t consider himself “married” to her, prompting the 51-year-old to point out the differences between their separation and how sister wife Christine Brown, who announced her split from Kody in 2021, ended things.

Meri Brown

“It just doesn’t make sense to me that he would be so frustrated with Christine and be like, ‘She just made this decision. We didn’t consult, we didn’t talk, she just made the decision.’ And then he says, ‘No, I don’t consider myself married to Meri,'” Meri said in the sneak peek, which was published by People on Dec. 15. “Like, he just made the decision. I’ve never heard him say that to me.”
