Meri Brown celebrated her 52nd birthday with a few of her “favorite people” after announcing her breakup with Kody Brown. The Sister Wives duo had been married for 32 years when they confirmed the official split.

The TLC star celebrated her special day on Monday with supportive pals by her side.

“Spent birthday #52 with a couple of my favorite people in the world,” Meri captioned an Instagram post that featured three photos of the group. “Many laughs, lots of good conversations, and tons of good food!”

She continued—“On days like these, I’m reminded again of the humanity of people with good and honest hearts, the friends who have your back and stand up for you, and general goodness in the world.”

Meri also gave props to her friends for encouraging her to be her best self.

“So grateful for friends who I can be myself with, who know my heart and my true self, and cheer for me for my bright future,” Meri wrote.

“I have so many things to be grateful for. So many good things in the works for the coming year. So much promise, hope, and light. And today. I’m so grateful for today,” the reality star added. “Here’s to another year in the books, and another year ahead full of wonder, wisdom, and worth.”

Meri confirmed during the recently aired Sister Wives: One-on-One special that Kody had ended their spiritual marriage after sharing a platonic relationship for years. Meri revealed that she would be open to a reconciliation, but added that she doubted that Kody shared the same interest.

“I don’t think Kody realizes the s—t that I am,” she quipped. “And if he hasn’t realized it so far, you know, maybe he never will and maybe he doesn’t want it.”

“Here’s the thing, this is what I say people change,” she added. “Maybe he’s just at this place that’s like she’s just not for me anymore and he’s now finally just saying it.”

“Time will tell, won’t it?” Meri replied, when asked if she believed that Kody would ever want her back.

She added — ”It’s for me to decide. He’s decided so now what?”

Last month, Meri posted a cryptic message to fans on Instagram, implying that there may be more to her story.

“Not all is always as it seems,” she teased her followers. “Often, we accept a version of a story as truth because it fits the narrative we’ve created, or what we want to believe.”

She continued—“It’s not always about what you’re looking at but also where you’re looking from. Everyone has their own experiences and their own truths.”

The TLC mom of one wrapped her thoughts by reminding viewers that “no matter how flat the pancake is, it always has two sides.”

The message was set against a selfie of the reality star holding up a book with the words—“There’s so much more to the story…” written across the pic.

Fans guessed in the comment section that a tell-all book could be in the works.
