Naomie Olindo Exits ‘Southern Charm’ Amid Cast Shake Up
Naomie Olindo is purportedly not returning to Southern Charm for Season 9, after making a comeback to the Bravo show, last season. News of Naomie’s rumored exit came after Kathryn Dennis was axed from the cast over alleged filming no-shows and a domestic violence accusation.
Naomie was introduced to viewers as a supporting cast member during Season 3, as the girlfriend of full-time cast member, Craig Conover. She moved on with Metul Shah, in 2018. She stayed on the series through Season 6 before making the decision to leave ahead of Season 7. Naomie moved to New York City to live with Metul but moved back to Charleston only 10 days later, after reportedly discovering that her then-boyfriend had been unfaithful.
News of the couple’s split broke in July 2021.
Naomie rejoined the cast for Season 8 and later confessed that she had to “beg” to get her job back.
“I had to, like, beg my way back,” Naomie shared in February 2022 on Dear Media’s Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast. “I was like, ‘Guys, please. I know I quit and I know I told everybody to f—k off, but please I’m very depressed and I really want to come back. I don’t know what I’m going to do if I’m back in Charleston.’ They were like, ‘All right.’ “
Naomie will join several other Southern Charm women who have made decisions to step out of the reality TV spotlight. Former cast fixture, Cameran Eubanks, left the show at the same time as Naomie’s first departure, in 2020.
The real estate agent later explained that her “priorities had changed” since signing on to the show. Chelsea Meissner also left the series in 2020, alongside Cameran and Naomie.
Despite being only spottily featured last season, Madison LeCroy promised fans that she would be “back full throttle” on Wednesday.
“I’m going to show you guys what I’ve been doing, what’s going on with me, where I’m at in my life, so that will be really fun and interesting to do,” Madison said on a “New Year Fitness Goals” Amazon Live stream, last week.
The 32-year-old admitted that she was disappointed to see Kathryn’s long run on the show end.
“I think a lot of us are really sad. I’m not really convinced. I mean, do we have a show without her? No,” Madison told fans.
The mom of one shared her hope that Kathryn will “surprise” viewers and perhaps come back one day.
“She was my buddy, so I am not thrilled about it, but like I said, I don’t know,” Madison said. “We’re in the very early stages of all this, so who’s to say she won’t come back.”
Bravo has yet to announce the official Southern Charm Season 9 cast or a premiere date.
