Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Throws Shade at Ex Kody After He Announces Official Split from Meri

Sister Wives fans cheered on Christine Brown after she threw some subtle shade at her ex, Kody Brown, following his official split from his first wife, Meri.   

Kody put out his first statement about the breakup, via Instagram, on Tuesday.

“After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage relationship,” the statement, which was signed by both Kody and Meri, read.

“During this process, we are committed to kindness and respect toward each other and to all members of our family, and we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships within the family so that we move forward with forgiveness, grace, and love.”

Christine, 50, “liked” the post and it wasn’t long before fans were praising the mom of six for her subtle maneuver. 

One person commented—“I’d like to think she’s being petty.”

Another person described Christine’s co-sign as “savage.”

A third person guessed that Christine was “trolling” the defeated polygamist. 

Other users had different ideas about why Christine chose to publicly approve the post. 

One person guessed—“Christine might have been liking the fact that Kody isn’t asking Meri to keep their split secret any more.”

Another user theorized— “Maybe she’s just being civil, because she has to coparent with a raging narcissist, so anything she can do to keep the peace is a good strategy.”

Meri, 51, teased that her battered relationship with her spiritual husband was over during the recently aired Sister Wives: One On One special. 

“He’s already made the decision,” she said, detailing a phone exchange she shared with Kody on their anniversary.

She added—“He’s like, ‘I don’t even know why you called me Meri. We’re not married. We’re not acting as married.’”

Kody and Janelle, 53, confirmed their breakup in December. Kody’s fourth and only legal wife, Robyn, 44, is the last wife standing amid rumors that the TLC patriarch may be on the hunt for a new partner in order to revive his polygamous lifestyle.  

Fans ripped into Robyn as the final part of the tell-all aired, after she recalled noticing the other wives’ “stretch marks” and “weight gain” after joining the family. 

Robyn told host, Sukanya Krishnan — “When I came into this family, I knew and I saw that when there’s stretch marks and there’s weight gain, and you’re being stagnant in the marriage, or there’s fights, or there’s money problems or whatever it is. He still had this romance going on with each of them. I saw it. He had sweet things with each of them. I’m like, you have this opportunity. And why are you looking at my orange? You have an apple. It’s not better, it’s just different.”
