‘RHOBH’ Alum Claims Lisa Rinna’s Firing Is Temporary

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville said Lisa Rinna’s exit from the Bravo reality series is not permanent.

Brandi reacted to Lisa Rinna’s firing from the Bravo show during a January 9 appearance on E! News and said, “I didn’t see it coming, honestly.” Lisa Rinna announced on January 5 that she would be leaving after eight seasons on the Bravo reality show.

While talking to hosts Adrienne Bailon Houghton and Francesca Amiker, Brandi said that Rinna probably needed the time off.

“She’s very happy about it, she’s fine with it. She’s like, ‘I look forward to the next chapter,’ and she’s very okay with it, at peace,” Brandi noted. Like many other fans, the podcast host doesn’t think this is the end of Lisa Rinna’s relationship with the network. She added, “I feel like she’ll be back.”

Glanville continued, “I feel like she needed a pause just because her mom passed away during shooting. She didn’t really get a chance to mourn that.”

Lisa Rinna’s mother passed away in November 2021 after suffering a stroke. During the interview, Brandi reacted to Diana Jenkins’ exit after only one season. “She was boring anyway. She didn’t fit the show. For me, I just didn’t think she was the right fit,” she said. Diana Jenkins announced she was leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills due to her high-risk pregnancy.

In a statement to PEOPLE, she said, “Asher and I are expecting our second child later this year. You also know that due to many factors, this pregnancy is considered high risk and I am on doctor-advised bed rest. To that end, I am not able to devote myself fully to filming the next season of [The] Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

Jenkins thanked Bravo for their support, understanding, and “allowing” her to focus on her pregnancy.

Andy Cohen

Andy Cohen shared Brandi’s views that Lisa Rinna might be back in the future in a recent interview. He reacted to Rinna‘s exit on Andy Cohen Live saying, “This is a reality show and it goes to show that is a testament to how compelling Lisa Rinna is to watch on television that she went eight years. Think of all the memes that Lisa Rinna has generated. Think of all the GIFs she’s generated.”

The Bravo executive producer added, “She has been really, really a huge part of Beverly Hills. And I really do hope that this is a pause. I hope she will come back. I really do.” He also pointed to Tamra Judge as another housewife who took some time away from filming and returned two seasons later.

Andy said about The Real Housewives of Orange County star, “Time away from the show kind of helped [her] as a person. It was actually positive to leave and get some air and step back.” He continued, “So I do hope that this is a pause because I always enjoyed Lisa Rinna on my TV.”

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar, Sutton Stracke, also reacted to Rinna’s exit and said she will be missed.

“She always loved to stir that pot and then we all liked to taste the soup. So I think we’ll miss Lisa’s soup, but I don’t think this is the last we’ll see from her,” Sutton said.

Bravo fans reacted to Andy’s statement about Lisa Rinna and they weren’t happy he termed her departure as a “pause.”

One fan tweeted, “Why is he saying he’s hoping it’s “just a pause” like she walked away of her own volition and wasn’t fired? Also, Lisa as a “working actress”. Kathy will make sure she never works again lol.”

Another fan wrote, “It hasn’t been 72 hours and Andy is already saying how he wants Rinna back. His love for this toxic woman is not a surprise but questionable considering how he treats other HW’s for lesser offenses.”
