Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Erika Jayne, has been slammed with a new lawsuit that is demanding a $97k payback from the cash her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, spent on her in the years leading to his bankruptcy. The new suit comes alongside an ongoing $25 million lawsuit against the reality star that remains unsettled.

Court documents obtained by Radar Online reveal that the trustee overseeing Girardi’s involuntary bankruptcy filed the new lawsuit on Monday.

Erika filed for divorce in November 2020, one month before Girardi was hit with a lawsuit that accused the lawyer of embezzling millions from former clients. He was forced into a Chapter 7 bankruptcy and the Bravo star was later named as a defendant in a federal lawsuit, which alleged that she played a role in Girardi’s reported schemes.

Erika has been embroiled in multiple lawsuits demanding that she return the money Girardi’s firm spent to support her company, EJ Global. Court documents previously confirmed that Girardi Keese paid out $14 million to support EJ Global’s American Express bills over several years.

The trustee’s newest legal action is taking direct aim at Erika, who has denied having any knowledge of her husband’s alleged crimes.

“During the seven-year period prior to the Petition Date, Girardi Keese made approximately 6 payments to Erika in the total aggregate amount of $97,200 (the “Seven-Year Transfers”), consisting of, among other things, approximately 2 payments to Erika in the total aggregate amount of $15,000 during the four-year period prior to the Petition Date,” the petition read.

The documents state that the money did not go to Girardi’s law firm and came in at a time when the lawyer knew of his critical financial situation.

The suit states— “similar to when Toto pulled the curtain back to reveal that the Wizard of Oz was a hoax, the world eventually learned that Girardi Keese was nothing more than an illicit and felonious business operated to line the rather large pockets of Thomas, his wife, and numerous cohorts. While the Trustee continues to investigate the magnitude of the fraud that spanned decades, it is obvious that millions of dollars of client funds were stolen and diverted to fund the lavish lifestyles of Thomas and other non-deserving parties.”

The trustee is demanding that the reality star hand over $100k immediately.

Last month, Erika sat for a deposition in regard to the ongoing $25 million lawsuit, which seeks to recover the funds her estranged husband’s now-defunct law firm funneled into her company. Court documents revealed that the trustee informed the court that the Bravo star was deposed.

The trustee wrote—“The [trustee] has deposed [Jayne]. No other depositions have been taken or noticed.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to start production for Season 13, this month.
