Alyssa Farah Griffin is being called out for dodging any off-air communication with her The View co-hosts. A source dished to Radar Online that the panelist quickly turns to her phone the minute that cameras shut down.

“Every time the show cuts to a commercial, she’s deep in her phone,” the insider spilled of the host’s off-camera behavior. “It doesn’t appear to be work-related since they have note cards in front of them that they read from.”

“Maybe she’s on social media or checking emails. Who knows!” the source added of the conservative panelist. “It seems like she uses it though as a form of entertainment when she’s not engaging with her co-hosts.”

The tipster added that Alyssa’s preoccupation with her phone might be amid an effort to communicate with her husband, Justin Griffin. Alyssa and Justin, 33, wed in November 2021.

“[Alyssa is] obsessed with her husband!” the source dished. “She mentions him multiple times throughout the show, both on and off camera. That’s all she talks about!”

Alyssa joined the daytime show in August 2022 and was previously called out by a separate source for the same issue. Back in November, another snitch dished that Alyssa appeared to use her phone to “avoid socializing” with her co-hosts. The source added that her behavior “came off as cold,” as if she had no interest in interacting with anyone on set.

In September, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, and Sunny Hostin reportedly “outcasted” and “ignored” Alyssa after the cast engaged in a heated political discussion.

Sunny faced away from Alyssa as the four women were turned towards Whoopi while talking,” a viewer who attended the taping revealed. “Alyssa stared at the women as they were in conversation, but she eventually went on her phone and chatted with her makeup artist.”

Barbara Walters

The daytime chat show has been in the headlines in the days since the death of the show’s creator, Barbara Walters. Walters died on December 30, in her New York City home following years of privately battled health issues. The famous interviewer was last seen in public in July 2016, at the Paris Theatre for the New York premiere of ‘Cafe Society.’ The famous broadcast journalist served as a role model to countless women and tributes flooded social media in the days following her passing.

The View hosts later led a tribute to the iconic TV personality and were joined by a group of former hosts, both in person and virtually. Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, Debbie Matenopoulos, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd, and Lisa Ling all made appearances.

The View premiered in 1997, with five women on the cast — Meredith, Star, Joy, Debbie, and Barbara. The show marked its 25-year anniversary in June with a big reunion at New York’s Essex House, the spot where the group’s original auditions took place. Fans were sad that Walters did not make an appearance and shared concerns over her absence on social media.
