Phaedra Parks Joining ‘Married To Medicine’ Cast
Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks is joining the cast of Married to Medicine in the upcoming season.
Sources close to the reality star revealed to theybf that Phaedra Parks, 49, is joining the cast after making her return to reality television.
According to the source, Phaedra will join the other ladies after revealing her relationship with a doctor. Producers allegedly asked the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum of the Bravo reality series to return, but she asked for an outrageous amount they weren’t willing to pay.
Therefore, the network decided to cast her on Married to Medicine since that show has the kind of budget that would align with what Phaedra was asking. The reality star teased her debut on Married to Medicine when she appeared at BravoCon 2022 and opened up about her love life.
Phaedra was part of a panel that included Married to Medicine stars Dr. Jackie Walters, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Anila Sajja, and Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Drew Sidora. When asked about her love life, Phaedra said, “I’m actually dating a doctor. I don’t want to tell you about him but I’ve actually dated him for about a year.”
The Bravo star was asked by one of the ladies if her sons had met the mystery doctor, and Phaedra revealed, “They have, and they love him.” The former Real Housewives of Atlanta alum shares two sons, Dylan, 12, and Aydin, 9, with her ex-husband, Apollo Nida. Parks broke up with her ex after he served eight years in prison in 2014 for identity theft and fraud. The former couple got a divorce in 2016, but it was finalized in 2017. The two had only been married five years before their split.
Since Married to Medicine season 9 just wrapped filming in December 2022, sources say Phaedra will join the tenth season, which will begin filming in 2023. Many people think Phaedra will be introduced to the show through Quad Webb because the two are friends. The Married to Medicine star sought legal advice from Phaedra when she was having trouble with Lisa Nicole Cloud on the show.
This won’t be Phaedra’s first Reality TV gig since she was fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The lawyer appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Love and Hip Hop Edition with her then-boyfriend, The Haves, and Have Nots actor, Medina Islam.
The two met on a dating app before a friend introduced them in person. Four months into their relationship, they joined Marriage Boot Camp and the reality star revealed that she had no plans of getting intimate with Medina.
In early 2021, Phaedra and Medina broke up, and later on, she began dating the doctor. When she appeared on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls’ Trip, Phaedra opened up and said she was “in love” with the physician. While she and co-star Tamra Judge were taking a walk together, Phaedra shared that the doctor had been calling her every night while she was at the Blue Stone Manor to encourage her and to say that he loves her. “Eh, he’s a good guy, but I mean, “she she said before adding, “then you go home and pee on your own toilet. I like my bidet crystal clean and fresh.”
Since her appearance on The Real Housewive Ultimate Girls Trip, Parks told the Daily Dish in a 2022 interview that she is now a “free agent.”
