Exclusive: The Shocking Reason Kathryn Dennis Was FIRED From ‘Southern Charm’
After 8 seasons, Kathryn Dennis has been fired from Southern Charm and AllAboutTheTea.com knows the shocking reason she was not offered a contract for season 9.
This is a huge embarrassment for Kathryn Dennis, who over the years did any and everything in her power to stay employed by Bravo — this includes but not limited to: manufacturing fake storylines, orchestrating a rape scandal against her baby daddy, Thomas Ravenel, exploitation of her own children via the judicial system, and repeating damaging rumors on-screen in an effort to destroy families and friends.
Why Kathryn Dennis Was Fired
A ROCK solid source tells AllAboutTheTea.com exclusively, “Kathryn accused her ex-boyfriend, Chleb Ravenell, of physically assaulting her, and the allegation caused a firestorm for production. Kathryn told producers that Chleb punched her in the face during a heated argument, which resulted in a black-eye and swollen jaw. Bravo conducted an investigation and at the conclusion of their investigation Chleb was fired from Southern Charm. Later, Kathryn was also fired because of the legal liability the allegations pose. They can’t really prove Chleb assaulted her, and her injuries could stem from fillers and Botox.”
Kathryn made sure to post photos of her alleged injuries on social media, back in September 2022.
The source added, “Producers grew tired of Kathryn two seasons ago, and they were slowly phasing her out after she became a total diva and a liability to work with; but after the shaky domestic violence allegations, they finally pulled the trigger.” A ROCK solid source tells AllAboutTheTea.com exclusively.
The local source told us, “Plus Kathryn’s mental health issues and drug use was affecting her ability to show up and do her job effectively. Her cast members and producers became fed up with her total disregard for their time, constantly missing events or showing up late, and random unprovoked outbursts.” The source adds, “They tried to help her but she’s in denial.”
Kathryn Dennis’ Drug & Mental Health Summary
As previously reported, court documents revealed that Kathryn Dennis abuses drugs, alcohol, and suffers from a multitude of mental health disorders. She’s “addicted to prescription medications, marijuana, alcohol, shopping and sex.”
Kathryn Dennis, 31, should never have been casted on a reality show, she has been clinically diagnosed with 17 mental health disorders including: bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, attention deficit disorder, kleptomania, self-mutilation, and cluster B personality traits, including histrionic and borderline personality disorders, ADHD and PTSD per forensic psychiatrist, Dr. Timothy Brewerton.
The doctor revealed that Kathryn Dennis abuses both ‘uppers’ and ‘downers.’
Kathryn Dennis Endangers Her Kids
The source continues, “While filming she’s neglectful with her kids and production was concerned she would nod off and place her kids in danger. They do not want to be held liable for her careless actions. So they had to cut her loose.” The source tells All About The Tea.

No Accountability
Kathryn struggles with communication and accountability — even attorneys working her custody case requested to be released from representing her back in June 2022.
According to court documents obtained by AllAboutTheTea.com, high-powered South Carolina attorneys, Susan Rawls Strom and Pete Currence, want off the custody case immediately — citing the attorney-client relationship is “irretrievably impaired.”
The motion reads, “Grounds for the motion are that counsel and defendant can no longer communicate, and can not agree on matters of importance to the case, and the attorney-client relationship is irretrievably impaired so much that undersigned can not effectively represent defendant.”
A local source tells AllAboutTheTea.com exclusively, “The attorneys refuse to put their stellar reputations on the line without transparent cooperation from Kathryn. Also, she doesn’t pay regularly or timely for their services, so they’re done putting up with her crap.”
The source continued, “They (the lawyers) can see the evidence is mounting against Kathryn. This is like lawyer number 12 for her…they all keep quitting, because she shows up late, tells them lies and don’t pay them, despite her big paycheck from Bravo.”
Kathryn Dennis is currently being represented by attorney, Clay Hopkins, of Hopkins Law Firm based in Charleston, South Carolina.
In March 2021,Kathryn loss full custody of her two children — Saint Julien and Kensington (Kensie). A South Carolina judge ruled that Kathryn would be restricted to supervised visitation (by a court approved supervisor) every other weekend, and Thomas was awarded primary legal custody. The businessman permanently relocated to Aiken, South Carolina with the couple’s children in the summer of 2021. Thomas has provided the court with evidence of Kathryn’s cocaine use and abuse of prescription medication.
