Ashley Darby Confirms Breakup from Luke Gulbranson, Accuses Michael of Relationship Sabotage

It looks like Ashley Darby‘s relationship with Summer House star, Luke Gulbranson, has come to an end. Fans speculated that the Bravo couple called it quits after Ashley removed all photos featuring Luke from her Instagram. 

The Real Housewives of Potomac star confirmed their breakup during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and she didn’t hold back when it came to placing blame on her estranged husband, Michael Darby.

“Luke and I are not romantically involved anymore,” Ashley told Andy during Sunday’s episode. The mom of two explained that the drama involving her estranged husband forced the new couple to go their separate ways. 

“It was my situation with Michael that affected Luke and I,” Ashley explained. She noted that she and Michael “have a really hard time” with “co-parenting and separating.”

“Really, my life is very complicated. As you guys can imagine, I’m going through a very difficult situation.”

Ashley added that despite Luke being a “trooper,” the timing just wasn’t right. 

“Luke was a trooper, believe me; he went through some things,” she said before noting that she’s still “friendly” with the Bravo star and that she enjoyed their three-month fling. “I met his whole family, they were amazing. I fell in love with them, it was so great, but you know, I am newly single,” she said.

Ashley continued, “This is my first relationship after, [and] you know, it’s just nice to be reminded that I am that girl, and I love to love, and I love to be loved, and give me all the love.”

Ashley and Luke’s breakup comes on the heels of fans accusing the couple of faking their relationship. Back in December, Ashley posted a selfie with Luke in his hometown of Minnesota. Six days later, Instagram fan account, Queens of Bravo, pointed out that “Ashley has seemingly deleted or archived her post with Luke from her IG.” The post pushed fans to speculate that the pair called it quits. 

Other fans labeled their relationship a PR stunt. 

“She was posting him, but he never posted her. It made me confused..” one fan wrote. Another fan noted that when Luke brings a girl home, they soon split. “Every time he take a girl there they end up breaking up with him.. What be going on lol.“

A third fan assumed that Michael is the reason she hasn’t moved on.

“Maybe she isn’t ready… they still follow one another… she did say on the last show she still has feelings for Michael. Or maybe Michael threatened her with some divorce tactic since their divorce isn’t final (I don’t think)… either way, it’s really not our business… let’s just hope they are both happy!”

Another fan assumed that Ashley‘s new fling wasn’t a good look for her divorce case against Michael saying, “Can’t we just go with that she had to delete because of the divorce proceedings??? Like maybe it didn’t look good??? I wanna believe that they are just on the downlow!!”

A third fan broke down their own theory. “My theories- 1) she deleted the post and decided to not be so public about it bc of the divorce, or 2) they felt like they were moving too fast and she’s not ready for that/he’s not ready to be step daddy.” And another added, “3) it was all a PR stunt.”
