Garcelle Beauvais Accused of Shading Lisa Rinna’s Firing
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans believe Garcelle Beauvais was throwing shade at Lisa Rinna’s exit in a recent post.
Garcelle Beauvais posted a video to her Instagram on Friday after her former co-star Lisa Rinna announced that she was not returning for the next season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
In the video, Garcelle showed off her new red hairstyle with an exceptional song choice. The actress used Elton John’s song, “I’m Still Standing,” for her video and captioned it, “New year New me! #stillstanding #newlook #newvibe.”
Many fans thought the song was a jab at Lisa Rinna after she confirmed her firing from the Bravo show.
One Bravo fan said in Garcelle’s comment section, “ELTON JOHN’S i’m still standing ?! the day Rinna is booted from RHOBH The shad of it all! Love, love, love.”
Another fan replied, “Can’t help but think the song choice is a little dig to a certain co star that was just fired.”
A third Bravo fan shared, “Yes sis. You still standing, but guess who’s not? Oof, I guess she’s so angry!” “Love the song choice, yes you are unlike someone else.”
Lisa Rinna and Garcelle had a rocky friendship during her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The Rinna Beauty owner admitted to throwing Garcelle’s memoir in the trash back in 2022 during last season’s reunion.
Andy Cohen asked Erika Jayne if she read the memoir before it ended up in the trash since she had posted it to her Instagram Stories. Lisa Rinna interrupted the two and took responsibility for throwing away her co-star’s book.
Lisa, 59, said, “Well, I have to be honest, I’m the one that tossed Garcelle’s book in the trash.” Rinna explained she threw Garcelle’s book away because the first edition contained a tell-all commentary about her daughter Amelia Hamlin’s eating disorder.
On Thursday, Rinna told PEOPLE that her exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was a mutual decision. However, many fans think the model was booted from the show because of her feuds with her co-stars.
Rinna said of her exit, “This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series. It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come!”
The Arrested Development actress wasn’t the only Bravo star to throw shade at Lisa Rinna after her exit announcement went viral on social media. Shortly after, Lisa Vanderpump tweeted, “Ding Dong.” However, Lisa’s longtime friend, Kyle Richards, clapped back at the restaurateur by liking a shady tweet. It read, “Why didn’t you comment about vivienne westwood and have to comment on this?”
The Days of Our Lives actress posted a photo from the Bravo series to her Instagram page and captioned it, “We had a good run. Love you! See you soon!”
Fans reacted to Rinna‘s exit on Twitter with one saying, “Lisa Rinna meeting her end by hands of Kathy Hilton,Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvis combined after years of bullying people off the show feel right in so many ways.”
Another fan blamed the soap actress for behaving so badly that she got herself fired. They wrote, “Lisa Rinna spent all last season trashing production and Bravo on Instagram. Then she went to the reunion and literally demanded to be put on pause. Then she went to BravoCon and flipped everyone off. Stop blaming the fans for her firing. She did it to herself.”
