Whoopi Goldberg Rudely Cuts Off Elisabeth Hasselbeck … Fans Want Her Fired

The View fans are questioning Whoopi Goldberg’s behavior once again after she rudely cut off guest host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

During a recent episode of the talk show, the hosts paid tribute to the late Barbara Walters and spoke about her impact and how she inspired many journalists’ careers, including their own.

The View invited Elisabeth Hasselbeck, a host from 2003 to 2013 to talk about her friendship with Walters, but fans didn’t like how Whoopi Goldberg behaved during the segment. Before and after the commercial break, Hasselbeck had been experiencing some technical issues that made it difficult to properly do her interview.

To help the talk show move along, Whoopi Goldberg told the audience, “We haven’t gotten our connection with Elisabeth back, but I’m writing her a note because I’m going to signal her to talk.” The show’s moderator wrote something down on two of her notecards before adding, “She can see us but she can’t hear us.”

The Sister Act star held up one of the cards where she had written, “Lizzy talk,” which pushed Elisabeth to talk about the late Barbara. After a few minutes, Whoopi shot up the next note card to the former host that read, “Thanks,” with three hearts drawn above it. After Hasselbeck took notice of the card, she knew her time was up and slowly finished her speech.

Viewers took notice of what happened and aired their views online with most slamming Whoopi for her notes.

One person said on Twitter, “So fake. Does anyone think that the messed up connection was not an error out of their control.”

Another wrote under The View’s tweet, “There she goes again with her stupid post it notes! Um no thanks!”

A third viewer asked, “Was Whoopi doing the note thing cuz how Liz does Post-It notes? #theview”

Another fan, who couldn’t stop laughing, said, “WHOOPI AND THIS THANK YOU SIGN!!! OMG #TheView”

Whoopi’s move didn’t sit well with most fans who have been asking for the host to get fired from The View after her recent comments about the Holocaust.

Goldberg previously said, “Remember who they were killing first. They were not killing racial; they were killing physical. They were killing people they considered to be mentally defective. And then they made this decision.”

A few days later after the severe backlash, she said, “It was never my intention to appear as if I was doubling down on hurtful comments, especially after talking with and hearing people like rabbis and old and new friends weighing in. I believe that the Holocaust was about race, and I am still as sorry now as I was then that I upset, hurt and angered people.”

However, Whoopi’s apology might have come too late since insiders at ABC, say executives want Whoopi off the show for her ‘toxic’ behavior.

The insiders told Radar Online that producers feel like Whoopi’s on-air “episodes” are driving away viewers instead of boosting the ABC program’s ratings. Another insider told the news outlet that having Whoopi there doesn’t make for a healthy work environment. Joy Behar is allegedly campaigning for Whoopi’s firing from the show.

Whoopi seems to be picking fights all the time. She makes things very toxic. It’s clear she’s very unhappy.” The comedian has been a moderator on The View for the past 15 years but viewers haven’t well received her latest behavior on the show.

Fans think it’s time for the 67-year-old to take a step back. One tweeted, “This should mean she’ll be fired, right? If it was bad enough to suspend her last time, and she does it again, that means losing her job, right?”
