Robyn Dixon Talks Shady ‘RHOP’ Edits and Being Told to ‘Shut Up and Do Your Job’
Robyn Dixon is fine with being told to “shut up and do your job,” despite being criticized for not bringing the heat as Gizelle Bryant’s bestie on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
Robyn routinely supports Gizelle’s pot-stirring antics on the Bravo series but has received backlash for never standing up to her co-star. Fans enjoy the duo’s friendship amid rumors that Gizelle acts as the show’s “shadow producer,” but sometimes call out Robyn for not having her own voice.
Gizelle claimed during an appearance on Reality with the King that she and Robyn have had disagreements, but the disputes are typically left on the cutting room floor.
Us Weekly recently asked Robyn and other “Housewives” if they had ever picked up the phone to complain to Andy Cohen over how they’re portrayed on their respective Bravo shows.
“I don’t even have Andy’s phone number,” she shared, during the BravoCon interview.
“I’m probably one of the easiest Housewives in all of the franchises. I go with the flow,” Robyn admitted. “I understand, like, I signed up for this job. It’s what it is. And I’m gonna roll with the punches. And although there’s some things that, you know, I might see stuff in editing that I don’t like or [something] they left that out, they added a couple of words to something I said. It’s what I’m signed up for. When you sign that contract, it pretty much says, ‘Shut up and do your job, OK!’ so I don’t complain.’”
Cohen revealed during a 2021 interview on No Filter with Naomi that there was no personal reason for any “Housewife” to be without his phone number.
“I would say Potomac and Dallas and Salt Lake [City casts] have been the slowest to get my number because they’re the newest, so if any of them need it, then they get it. Then they have it,” he explained.
The Bravo executive confirmed that he shares personal friendships with many Bravo personalities.
“I think what people don’t realize about me is that I really have a constant going with the Housewives and very random Househusbands on my phone,” he said, via Bravo’s Daily Dish, in 2016.
Cohen revealed some of his text message pals, which included Real Housewives of New York alum, Bethenny Frankel, and Don’t Be Tardy personality, Kim Zolciak-Biermann.
“This is my life, absolutely. Sometimes they’re mad at me. Sometimes they’re not,” he noted.
Back in December 2020, Cohen participated in an Instagram trend that involved posting random personal photos, at the request of fans. The Bravo boss shared a screenshot grabbed from his phone in response to a fan who asked to see an image of “the last current Housewife” that he texted. Cohen’s screen grab revealed that he had been swapping text messages with RHONY veteran, Ramona Singer, and Beverly Hills star, Erika Jayne.
