Todd Chrisley’s Daughter Worked With The FBI To Send Him To Prison

A new report revealed that Todd Chrisley’s oldest daughter, Lindsie Chrisley, cooperated with the FBI and made shocking allegations against her father that essentially kicked off his fraud case.

Legal documents obtained by the Daily Mail show that Lindsie reached out to Georgia’s Department of Revenue (GDOR), filed a complaint against her father with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department, and gave a lengthy interview to the FBI.

In the interview, she alleged that her father harassed her, physically assaulted her, and blackmailed her against the family. Lindsie claimed that Todd threatened to leak a sex tape of her if she didn’t lie for him in his fraud cases.

A source told the news outlet that “Lindsie called the GDOR in 2017 after Todd and Julie had been served with their state case because she was worried about the implications for her and her child [son Jackson, 10]” The source added that Lindsie described her dad as a “horrible” person and that she was “sick and tired” of Todd and Julie “getting away with stuff.”

According to the insider, Lindsie regularly spoke with the Director of the Office of Special Investigations at GDOR, Josh Waites, giving him information that he would follow up on. She ended up calling the FBI and US Probation to report that she was being intimidated and harassed by her father.

“As the investigation went on Todd suspected she had spoken and was calling her a snake and saying things like she ‘needed to be careful,” the insider said.

DailyMail.com obtained an email from August 13, 2019, the exact day Todd and Julie were federally indicted on eight counts of fraud and two counts of tax evasion. In an email to the FBI, Lindsie said she was “truly afraid.” She wrote, ‘There’s been some concerning things that chase (sic) has been posting and I’m worried. Can you follow up with me. These are very suggestive – maybe I’m just truly afraid, but this is insane.” In the same month, Lindsie met with FBI agents in Atlanta.

In the interview report obtained by the news outlet, Lindsie stated that she and Todd had been estranged since she was 19 or 20 until her last years of college. Todd only reached out to Lindsie in 2012 to ask her to be a part of Chrisley Knows Best where she appeared on the show for five seasons.

In 2017, Lindsie moved to Nashville to stay with her dad while going through her divorce. While she was there “6 to 8 police officers showed up at the door one morning during breakfast.” The officers, along with Josh Waites, served Todd and JulieThe GDOR seized a storage facility used by the Chrisleys, which occurred on the last day’s filming for Chrisley Knows Best. Lindsie told the FBI that Julie was “on edge and was very rude to the crew” that day.

The report states, “Campbell believes Julie was upset about the storage unit being seized.” Things went left and Lindsie claimed that Julie slapped her. Lindsie never filed a complaint or called the police, but she did leave the show. A September 2017 article titled “Todd Chrisley’s Shame: Wife Julie’s Secret Arrest Uncovered” circulated online, referencing the slapping incident, forcing Todd to assume Lindsie leaked the story.

On September 13, 2017, Todd tweeted, “Like mother like daughter, once a cheater always a cheater, once a liar always a liar. #truthmaycostyouyourchild #itscomingout #glovesoff.” In the past, Todd has accused his first wife and Lindsie’s mother, Teresa Terry, of cheating. He followed up with another tweet, “Sometimes those that lie need 2 be exposed in order 2 stop the madness #cheatedtwice #thxgodforpuppycams #suemeoverthetruth #psycho.”

Lindsie took the tweets as threats, assuming her father was referring to a sex tape of her and a man she briefly dated. The then-couple hooked up in her best friend’s apartment, not knowing that there was a puppy cam filming them the whole time. Lindsie and Todd hadn’t spoken for the next two years — until she received a text from her brother, Kyle, who said their dad wanted to meet with her.

Campbell thought Todd was going to apologize to her for everything…so she agreed to meet with him and drove to Chattanooga,” the report states. When they met up at the restaurant Todd told Lindsie to leave her phone in the car. The report continues, “Once in the restaurant Todd told her that he was going to be indicted for conspiracy and tax evasion and it was going to be bad and all over the media. Todd questioned Campbell about her involvement in all of this.”

Campbell became angry with Todd and told him he needed to stop and that he needed to tell Chase to stop. Todd told Campbell that she needed to be careful with Chase because what he had she did not want to mess with. Todd said that Chase had a sex video from a puppy cam of Campbell…that he bought for $5,000.”

When Lindsie told her dad that selling a sex tape is illegal, he responded, “It’s not criminal, maybe civil,” before warning Lindsie to “just be careful,” according to the report. On July 16, 2019, Lindsie filed a report with the sheriff of Cherokee County, Georgia, and “stated there is an ongoing issue with her family threatening and harassing her.”

The Sheriff’s Office complaint notes that “Lindsie stated that she recently learned her stepbrother who lives out of state claimed to have purchased a sex tape involving Lindsie.” The report continues, “Lindsie stated her father and stepbrother wanted her to lie about an incident and that if she refused to do so they were going to release the sex tape involving her.” Lindsie didn’t follow up nor did she press charges, but she did tell FBI agents that she believed Todd was having her followed.

A source told the Daily Mail, “What’s really sad is that after everything that happened, Todd managed to flip Lindsie and bring her back on board.” The source said that after all of the drama surrounding Lindsie and her father, Todd was still able to manipulate his daughter. “Ultimately, she did exactly what he wanted her to do and testified for him and Julie. She said the sex tape thing was a big misunderstanding. It was embarrassing to watch because her testimony wasn’t convincing anyone.”

Lindsie was accused of lying for her father under oath by the judge and the prosecution. In turn, the prosecution asked for a more serious prison sentence for Todd because he “threatened, intimidated, and unlawfully influenced his daughter, Lindsie Chrisley.”
