‘Married At First Sight’ Season 16 Everything You Need To Know

The new season of  Married At First Sight returns Jan. 4 with expanded 90-minute episodes for its “Sweet 16” season.

In the upcoming 23-episode season, we’ll meet 10 singles based in Nashville who are ready to marry their loves sight unseen.

Married At First Sight fans are used to the series following each couple as they tie the knot, go on their honeymoon, move in together, and get to know their new spouses. And at the end, the couples decide if they want to continue on their marital journey or go their separate ways. 

But in the new season, “more romance and intense stakes” and a “shocking twist” will occur when one husband “makes an indecent proposal” to another man’s wife, according to the network.

The singles — Airris, Jasmine, Christopher, Nicole, Clint, Gina, Mackinley, Domynique, Shaquille, and Kirsten — will receive advice from returning experts DeVon Franklin, Dr. Pia Holec, Pastor Cal, and Dr. Pepper.

After each episode, fans can look for new episodes of Married at First Sight: Afterparty, where the cast will sit down and dish with actress Keshia Knight Pulliam. Pastor Cal and Dr. Pepper will star in their new 20-episode digital series, MAFS: Relationship Rewind, where they will give their two cents on the most dramatic scenes from the season.

Before MAFS season 16 premieres, fans can get a sneak peek into the matchmaking process and meet the five singles who will be walking down the aisle in the MAFS: Matchmaking Special. Kevin Frazer will be hosting the December 28 premiere, highlighting the dramatic process. Following that, Frazer will also appear on MAFS: Kick-Off Special to “discuss and debate” the five MAFS couples with a panel of fans.
