Clues Whoopi Goldberg HATES Being On ‘The View’
The View fans are questioning Whoopi Goldberg’s latest comments about being a moderator on the daytime talk show.
During the recent episode of The View, the hosts were asked to share their favorite Christmas traditions. Some of the hosts like, Joy Beyhar and Ana Navaro shared their favorite songs and what they love to do with their families like baking cookies. When it came to Whoopi sharing what she loves to do during the festive season, she said, “Leaving here!”
When the show’s moderator was also asked what is her most annoying holiday tradition, she said, “Staying here an extra day!”
Fans on Twitter noticed Whoopi Goldberg’s disdain for her role on the show and were quick to call her out. One person wrote, “You guys have no spirit of Christmas! Get it together!”
Another responded, “Love how much Whoopi hates her job.”
While a third person slammed Whoopi for being ungrateful “Can Whoopi pretend to be grateful? Jesus Christ.”
Someone else tweeted, “Whoopi sux at her job and obvious she hates being there so she needs to just quit and save us the misery.”
“Whoopi is literally telling us how much she hates her job, please producers fire her. She’s a waste of space.” A critic pointed out.
“Earth to Whoopi, it’s clear you hate your job and guess what we hate you too.” Another person stated.
A person tweeted, “Watching whoopi trash the show and her cohost is not fun anymore. I rather her leave now before it gets worse.”
This isn’t the first time Whoopi Goldberg has opened up about her role on the show. During her appearance on Rob Lowe’s podcast Literally, she said she had “the worst seat on the show.”
Whoopi Goldberg said, “It’s the worst place to sit. If you’re concerned at all about how you look, it’s the one place that makes you look the biggest is on the end. It’s crazy.”
The show’s moderator came under fire from fans for claiming Mariah Carey is not the queen of Christmas and instead declaring Darlene Love, as the queen of the holiday. Whoopi asked Darlene to clear the air over who is the real queen, she explained that she released her Christmas song, Christmas Baby Please Come Home, almost 30 years before Mariach Carey’s All I Want For Christmas.
One fan came after the show in their comment section saying, “For a show that supposedly is about empowering women, pitting Darlene against Mariah aint on brand, ladies.” One person commented.
Someone added, “I don’t like disrespecting the elderly but this isn’t worth the aggro at all. Overtime i’ve lost respect for Whoopi.”
Another follower commented, “I have stopped watching The View because they are so unnecessarily problematic! Here is another example of that.”
A third person defended Mariah Carey’s title as the queen of Christmas and said, “First of all Mariah never ever claimed to be the queen of Xmas but no offense to Darlene but she is not the first person I think of as queen of Xmas just saying.”
The View airs weekdays at 11:00am ET, on ABC, with co-hosts: Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Meghan McCain.
