RHOC’s Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s Estranged Husband Demands Joint Custody Of Kids After She Requested Support
Former Real Housewives Of Orange County star Braunwyn Windham-Burke‘s ex, Sean Burke, responded to her divorce filing late last month.
Braunwyn filed a petition asking the court to order Sean to pay monthly support and cover her legal bills. The reality star also said that she was unable to provide for herself and their kids because Sean “stopped providing support.” Instead, Braunwyn said a family member has been helping her pay for her and their kids’ living expenses. She asked in her filing for $10k per month, claiming that Sean makes $65k monthly.
Sean responded in a petition filed on November 28. In the court documents, Sean agreed to pay support but wanted them to split the legal bills. In his court filing, Sean cited the date of their marriage as January 3, 2000, and their separation date as October 13, 2022. Sean and Braunwyn were married for more than 20 years before they split. He sited “irreconcilable differences” and agreed that the divorce should go on. Burke demanded legal joint and physical custody of their kids after Braunwyn demanded primary custody, with her ex only getting visitation.
The two share kids, Jacob, 17, Caden, 9, Curren, 9, and Koa, 7, Bella, 22, and Rowan, 20. However, Sean didn’t respond to Braunwyn’s accusations that he stopped providing support.
The former Bravo star said, “I have relied on [Sean] to make all financial decisions for 23 years, and I have effectively been kept in the dark regarding the true extent of our business interests and assets.”
Fans met Braunwyn in 2019 after she joined the season 14 cast of The Real Housewives Of Orange County.
The former reality star explained that she started dating Sean when she was 18, and he is all she ever knew.
“I learned [doing the show] that I can’t always rely on my husband. I’ve been with my husband since I was 18, so I had to stand on my own two feet for the first time in my entire adult life. And that was not always easy.”
Braunwyn told Us Weekly, amid her divorce, she found love on Instagram.
The RHOC alum told the news outlet she is dating Jennifer Spinner. “It’s still very new. I’m getting to know her. I enjoy the time we’re spending together,” she said.
For now the two have a long distance relationship because Spinner, 38, lives in Germany, but she’s planning on moving back to the United States. Braunwyn said that the two are not exclusive and are just having fun.
