‘RHOP’ Fans Drag Wendy Osefo for Returning Home from Hospital in Full Glam

Dr. Wendy Osefo’s painful bout with kidney stones was featured on Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac — but fans called out the narrative after Wendy was discharged from the hospital in full glam mode. 

Wendy was filmed walking slowly into her home after undergoing two outpatient surgeries within a week. Wendy called the recovery “completely exhausting,” but the Bravo star managed to muster the energy to be camera-ready for her first recovery scene. 

Viewers flooded Twitter to call out the reality star for returning home after being discharged in full hair and makeup.

One fan tweeted—“Not Wendy coming home from the hospital in hair, lashes, makeup and jewelry!”

Another wrote—“How you just getting out of the hospital and you got your wig on and a full face of makeup Wendy..”

A third asked—“So, did anyone check on Wendy after her surgery? Why was Wendy in full hair and makeup coming from the hospital? This is why there is nothing REAL about REALity tv anymore.”

A fan said—“Wendy limps home supposedly from the hospital after 2 surgeries and arrives home all dressed up – including full makeup and jewelry?  So staged!” 

One viewer wanted to know—“Did the glam squad show up to the hospital to do Wendy’s makeup be she was discharged home?”

Another person chimed in—“Wendy had a FULL face of makeup coming home from the hospital. Even her gloss was blended.”

One user tweeted—“Wendy fresh out the hospital with a full face beat, wig, and lashes…girl bye.”

Another wrote— “Wendy just tries too hard and comes across as fake. She came home from the hospital in huge pain, struggling to move etc yet managed to get her full glam on. Ok.”

Wendy bumped up her glam game during Season 6 when she proudly revealed her plastic surgery makeover at a Nude Interlude event held at her home. 

“I want to introduce you guys to my new friends… happiness,” Wendy announced, showing off her breast augmentation and Brazilian butt lift to her cast mates. 

Wendy opened her robe to reveal her new curves, highlighted in a tight satin mini dress. 

“Being a professor and being a commentator, you are supposed to fit into a certain box, and I’ve always felt like I’m trapped. But now, I get to be my authentic self,” Wendy added.

Wendy posted her thanks to surgeon, Dr. Joseph Michaels, on Instagram, alongside a photo of herself with the doctor at his office. 

Wendy has been embroiled in a feud with co-star, Mia Thornton, during the current season, after a cast trip to Miami went sideways. Mia doused Wendy with a drink and struck her with her purse during a heated argument, creating a discussion comparing the incident to Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard’s Season 5 winery brawl.
