Cynthia Bailey Confirms ‘RHOA’ Return For Season 15
Cynthia Bailey is poised for a comeback to The Real Housewives of Atlanta after her divorce from husband, Mike Hill. Cynthia and Mike announced their split in October, only days after their second anniversary. Their divorce was finalized in only two months and now Cynthia is ready to return to the Bravo cast.
During a recent interview, Cynthia teased her RHOA return but added that she might land in a “friend” role.
“I can say that I am going to play with the girls a little bit this season, maybe some future seasons,” she shared in a clip posted by Jay’s Reality Blog.
“But only as a friend,” the former model noted.
The Bravo vet explained that she was back in Atlanta, which had enabled her to film scenes with her old friends.
Cynthia was asked if she would return to the Georgia franchise as a “friend.”
“It’s looking that way,” she confirmed.
Cynthia added that the RHOA cast has “a few more weeks of filming,” and because she’s been spending time at Lake Bailey, she’s been mingling with her former co-stars.
“I keep getting invited to some of their events,” Cynthia shared.
Cynthia and Mike met in 2018 while on Steve Harvey’s talk show, and their romance was featured on RHOA. Bravo cameras captured Cynthia’s wedding prep ahead of her lavish ceremony, which took place at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She later left the show to pursue acting opportunities in Los Angeles. Mike was based in LA and Cynthia’s daughter, Noelle, moved to the west coast to attend college.
Cynthia left RHOA after appearing for 11 seasons, citing a desire to “protect her marriage.”
“After going through my divorce with my ex [Peter Thomas], I’m very protective of my second marriage because, you know, I really want it to work, and I want to do everything that I can to protect it and to protect Mike,” she told Page Six, at the time.
Mike revealed that there was trouble in paradise shortly after the couple celebrated one year of marriage.
In October 2021, Mike was hit with cheating rumors after being accused of sending flirty messages and nude photos, via Snapchat, to a Twitter user. The couple denied the allegation.
Cynthia’s potential return would allow the show to document her second divorce and follow her life in the wake of the breakup. Cynthia would likely reconnect with old pal, Kenya Moore, who went through her own split from the father of her child, Marc Daly. Cynthia’s reality TV comeback would also allow fans to watch the duo mend their friendship after clashing on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
