The View’s Sunny Hostin Puts ‘Stupid’ Son On Blast During Live Show
Sunny Hostin put her son on blast during a recent episode of The View after revealing details about her 20-year old son, Gabriel’s dating life.
Sunny Hostin, 54, revealed she chased off one of her son’s dates because they looked older than him. While speaking about a new reality show Back In The Groove, Sunny ended up revealing how she feels about older women dating younger men. The reality show focuses on women in their 40s having fun as they date younger men.
The View host quickly condemned the idea and added that she would not be happy if her son was dating an older woman. In fact Sunny told viewers she spotted her son on a date with a woman that looked older and quickly ran her off.
Sunny Hostin began by saying, “I just think it’s so despicable, especially with a son who is about to be 21. I think he knows better than to bring a 40-year-old to my house.” she added that her son clearly doesn’t know enough. “Because he recently went to the doctor to get some blood work, and then I saw him out on a date. And I was like, ‘Who is that?’ And he said she was a nurse that took care of him at the hospital.” The co host then described how she scared off the woman. “So I said, ‘Sis, you know he’s 20, right?’ She had to be in her 30s! I’m like, ‘Sis, and he just turned 20.’ Then she disappeared!”
Whoopi Goldberg however didn’t agree with her co host and told Sunny she should leave her son alone to date whoever he wants. “Leave that man alone! Leave your son alone. Leave him alone. You are just going to roll her in closer. Trust me.” Sunny Hostin fired back, “No. Oh No. Some 40-year-old woman that wants a 20-year-old stupid kid like mine got a lot of issues.” Viewers at home also agreed with Whoopi with one fan saying, “Sunny run off the nurse am sure she looked younger than 30. Girl stop, let that young man live.”
Other viewers blasted Sunny for choosing to tell her son’s story. “Nobody wants to hear about your son’s love life @sunny. It’s his business not ours to hear on tv.” Another fan added, “Ouch Sunny calling her kid stupid!” Sunny shares Gabriel and daughter Paloma, 16 with husband, Emmanuel Hostin.
