Jen Shah Uninvited From ‘RHOSLC’ Season 3 Reunion
Bravo is done with Jen Shah — Real Housewives of Salt Lake City producers have disinvited the convicted felon from participating in the Season 3 showdown.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast filmed the Season 3 reunion on Friday and Jen’s absence was noticeable.
Jen Shah, 49, addressed her absence on Instagram. According to Jen, initially producers informed her in September that she was not invited to attend the reunion. Then in November, show producers changed their minds and sent her an invitation to attend.
Her statement starts, “I was clear with Bravo that out of respect for the courts and a standing judicial order, I would not be in a position to discuss anything related to my legal case or sentencing. Bravo found this unsatisfactory and said they expected discuss this “storyline.”
She continues, “That expectation has no regard for me or my family’s well-being; so under legal advice, I will not be attending reunion. I need to focus on the most important thing in my life – my family.”
Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Heather Gay and Whitney Rose will film without Jen, who’s criminal fraud case was a pivotal part of Season 3, along with Jen’s friendship drama with the entire cast. Angie Katsanevas and Angie Harrington will make guest appearances.
Jen Shah is still awaiting her sentencing, which is currently scheduled to take place in New York City on January 6, 2023. The mom of two also agreed to forfeit $6 million in addition to paying more than $9 million in restitution.
Jen will be sentenced for pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. In March 2021, she was arrested and charged with running a nationwide telemarketing scheme along with one of her assistants, Stuart Smith. The government prosecutors described the scandal as a $5,000,000 money laundering scheme.
When the feds raided Jen’s Utah home in 2021, they seized a ton of faux designer bags and jewelry. According to legal documents, Jen owned more than 30 knockoff designer bags and about 40 pieces of fake jewelry.
Jen’s fake designer collection, which was mostly manufactured in China, included handbags that resemble high-end brands like Balenciaga, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Hermès, Valentino, and Fendi. Her fake jewelry collection had pieces made to resemble Tiffany & Co, Chanel, Dior, Bulgari, Gucci, Hermès, Cartier, and Louis Vuitton.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays, at 9 p.m. ET, and 9 p.m. ET, on Bravo.
