Braunwyn Windham-Burke BROKE and Begging Ex Husband For Cash
Real Housewives of Orange County star, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, is begging her ex Sean Burke for financial support after their separation.
According to court documents obtained by The Sun, Braunwyn alleged that she only has $2.9k in her bank account and is unable to support herself or the kids financially. Not only that, but The Real Housewives of Orange County alum states that her once amicable relationship with her ex Sean turned sour after they began the court proceedings.
“I am unemployed. Except for two years during our nearly 23-year marriage, I have stayed home to care for our seven children. I have relied on the Respondent for all financial security since I was 20 years old,” reports The Sun.
Braunwyn, 45, appeared on seasons 14 and 15 of The Real Housewives of Orange County. In the court filings, the reality star said that she had been kept in the dark about their finances for the past 23 years since she always relied on Sean to make all the decisions.
“Recently, Respondent stopped providing any support to me and I am unable to provide for my own support or the support of our children,” the filing states. Windham added that she has had to turn to a family member to help her support herself and the kids.
In a filed income and expense declaration, Braunwyn revealed that her monthly expenses add up to $25,750, which includes $10,000 for monthly rent for their California home. The reality star also revealed that she believes her ex makes more than $65k per month working as a company’s president and COO, plus another $10k from another company.
Braunwyn and Sean share 7 kids — Bella, 22, Rowan, 20, Jacob, 17, twins Caden and Curren, 9, Koa, 8, and Hazel, 4, who they often took on luxury trips across the globe. Braunwyn explained they had been used to a certain kind of lifestyle that Sean needs to maintain.
Braunwyn, who is currently dating girlfriend Jennifer Spinner, said they took lavish trips to Bravo Creek and Colorado during winter for ski lessons. She also added that during the summer, they would spend four to six weeks in Kauai, Hawaii, not to mention trips to Europe, Miami, Puerto Rico, and New York.
The reality star added, “We had two nannies and a full-time housekeeper. I had a private trainer, and a stylist that would come to the house monthly and had my hair and makeup done regularly. I enjoyed a [shopping] budget and bought luxury handbags.”
Due to this, Windham is asking the court to award her temporary spousal support of an amount no less than $10k per month.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum is also requesting that Sean contributes $10k to her attorney fees and pay for child support in an amount that she is letting the court determine. Sean Burke responded to the court filings and asked the court that they each pay their own attorney fees. He is also asking for the alimony requested by Braunwyn to be paid himself.
Sean also asked the court to waive his court fees but it was denied since he has “sufficient income to pay reasonable court fees.” The former couple both requested to have joint legal and physical custody of their kids.
