‘Below Deck’ Alum Kate Chastain Pregnant At 39 Years Old
Former Below Deck star Kate Chastain is pregnant with her first child.
Kate Chastain made the announced Tuesday via Instagram.
The Below Deck alum posted a mirror selfie showing off her growing baby bump in a form-fitting floral dress.
“I’m already planning so many birthday theme parties for you 💗💙💗💙,” Chastain, 39, captioned the snap.
Kate Chastain, 39, is due May 2023 but isn’t sharing the identity of the baby’s daddy or the sex of the baby.
“I am absolutely thrilled to become a mother,” Chastain told the outlet. “It’s something I’ve always hoped for so this is truly a dream come true!”
With Kate’s two upcoming shows, Below Deck Galley Talk on Bravo and The Traitors on Peacock – she wanted to get ahead of any rumors.
“This is such a new and special experience, so I’m really being protective of what I share publicly,” she said. “There’s just no hiding my baby bump any longer!”
Many Bravolebs and Below Deck stars wished the expectant mom congratulations.
“Eeeeek the news is out!! Sooooo excited for you my angel 🤍🤍🤍,” current “Below Deck” chief stew Fraser Olender wrote.
“Oh my god I’m so happy for you!!! You’ll be an amazing mum ❤️,” former “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” and new mom Alli Dore chimed in.
“How did I miss this!?? Congratulations ❤️,” Madison LeCroy from “Southern Charm” commented, with Mercedes Javid of “Shahs of Sunset” adding, “Happiest thing to wake up to! 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙.”
Kate Chastain made her exit from the series after Season 7 in 2020, and started a new career on land, but has kept her name in the Bravosphere by starring on Below Deck Galley Talk and Bravo’s Chat Room.
Kate Chastain helped to make her six seasons of charters very successful. However, she apparently wasn’t happy with her career as chief stew, and had other endeavors that she wanted to pursue.
The 10th season of hit reality TV show Below Deck returned to Bravo on November 21, to sail around the Caribbean island of St Lucia. The show, which follows a superyacht crew through an eight-week charter season, is one of the network’s most highly-rated series.
