‘My Unorthodox Life’ Star Julia Haart Sued By Divorce Attorney For $500K
Netflix star Julia Haart’s divorce attorney, Adria Hillman, who represented her at the beginning of her divorce from Silvio Scagila is suing her.
In court documents filed in the New York State Supreme Court, Adria accused the My Unorthodox Life star of stiffing her out of $413,110.70! Hillman represented the reality star in February after she filed for divorce from her ex Silvio Scagila, 63. At the time, Silvio had fired Haart, 51, from the fashion and talent agency, Elite World Group that he owns. According to court docs, Hillman offered legal services “in connection with negotiating a separation agreement and/or representation in a matrimonial action.”
Adria, who is being represented by Attorney Richard A. Kiss and is seeking the amount she is owed plus interest from June from the reality star. Haart’s new lawyer, Nancy Chemtob, has stated that their client would never stiff anyone out of their money.
“Julia Haart has a tremendous amount of integrity. She would not stiff any lawyer or person and not pay them unless there was good reason. She has the right to dispute charges and work product.” Haart’s divorce from her ex Silvio is currently playing out on season 2 of My Unorthodox Life.
In May, Haart lost her bid to prove that she owns half of Scagila’s company, Elite World Group. The TV star’s representative told Page Six at the time, “Scagila told everyone that Julia was a 50/50 partner, including bankers, investors, employees, and Julia herself. Today’s order is only preliminary and not final. We will have further comment once the judge’s final decision is issued.”
Scagila bought the multi-million dollar business in 2011. In August, Haart lost her bid to prove that her ex had abused her in an effort to get a restraining order. Despite the losses, she won the right to use and occupy their marital home which is a $65 million triplex in Tribeca.
Haart has already been spotted dating a mystery man while Silvio is engaged to socialite Michelle Marie Heinem. Haart and Silvio got married in 2019, and the same year, he made her a part-owner and CEO of his company, Elite World. In February, Scagila accused Haart of dipping into the company funds to buy designer clothes and to get a boob job.
The reality star has denied these claims but was also accused of using $50,000 of the company funds to hire a divorce lawyer in December 2021. Silvio also accused his ex of taking $850,000 from the company account the day he fired her.
