Meredith Marks Denies Calling Lisa Barlow’s Home Sh*tty
Meredith Marks is clearing up claims by Lisa Barlow that she talked badly about Lisa’s house’s renovations.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star appeared as a guest at the live taping of the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast at City Winery in New York City on Monday night. Marks, 50, told the hosts that she couldn’t say bad things about Lisa’s home because she doesn’t even go there that much.
“First of all, I never even saw her house finished — she doesn’t invite people over, so I’ve been to her house twice,” Meredith admitted, saying that she’s only been to Barlow’s home twice in all the 10 years they’ve been friends.
The jewelry designer revealed that those two occasions were during Season one of filming The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City which was in 2019. Meredith did say that when she visited Lisa‘s home, the renovations weren’t done yet.
“The renovations weren’t finished, so I couldn’t comment on her renovations. I mean it was absurd! Of course, I didn’t say that, because they weren’t even finished,” Meredith continued. Barlow, 47, claimed that during the Season two reunion, her outburst was fueled by rumors that Marks had made fun of her home.
Lisa defended her outburst, saying, “Somebody had just told me that you were making fun of my renovation and stuff and I was just like upset … You said I live in a s—tty house.”
At the time Meredith clapped back, “OK, you have an ugly house, so you should rip my character to shreds.” The Vida Tequila owner had gone on a hateful rant against her Real Housewives of Salt Lake City co-star, accusing her of being a “whore” who slept with “half of New York” and having “10 motherf**cking boyfriends.”
During their trip to Arizona, however, Meredith gave Lisa a hug and said she “was looking forward to see where things would go.” While appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Meredith explained that Lisa’s hot mic moment might not have been the first time she has spoken about her family.
“I’m done with it. I’m disengaging from Lisa Barlow at this point because she’s continued to make excuses for her behavior. An apology that has excuses attached to it is not an apology.”
Marks also said she heard from her friends and Lisa’s friends that Barlow has “had a lot to say about her prior to that.”
