Teresa Giudice Calls Joe and Melissa Gorga’s ‘RHONJ’ Commentary ‘Heartbreaking’
Teresa Giudice is spilling more details behind her ongoing feud with her brother, Joe Gorga, and sister-in-law and Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star, Melissa Gorga.
Fans know that drama exploded while filming the upcoming season, ahead of the reality star’s August nuptials with Luis Ruelas. The blowout resulted in Joe and Melissa bailing on the event.
An insider revealed that the decision was made after “false rumors” about Joe and Melissa’s marriage circulated during the filming of the finale episode. In October, Andy Cohen made the decision to separate the RHONJ cast amid various brewing feuds. The Bravo exec explained that the decision was made due to the beef between the Gorgas and Teresa, but the Bravo veteran confirmed on her podcast that she did not make the request.
“I’m not the boss so that doesn’t come from me, and it’s, like, common sense, duh,” Teresa explained during an episode of her podcast, “Namaste B$tches.” “We haven’t had our reunion yet, so of course they want to keep us separate. They didn’t want a reunion to happen at BravoCon.”
Teresa recently appeared on the “Shenanigans with Scheana Shay” podcast, where she spoke about being “blindsided” after watching her family speak out on the Bravo reality show.
“I never watched the show [before]. You know why I didn’t watch the show? Not because I was lazy… thank God I didn’t watch the show, because now that I’m watching the show, I see things that my brother and Melissa said about me, and my ex-husband. I’m like mortified. It’s like so heartbreaking, so heart-wrenching, so sad that my own family could be talking like this about me,” Teresa told the Vanderpump Rules star.
Teresa added that she was happy she didn’t view RHONJ for years because it would have “upset” her deceased parents. She shared that she’s now “free” and only wished Joe and Melissa well. She pointedly added that the couple should now just leave her in peace.
“I kept the peace for my parents. But now that I don’t have them anymore, I’m free now. I’m done,” the reality TV veteran said. “I wish them well; I wish happiness in their life. But please, just leave me alone. Keep my name out of their mouth, and that’s it. I just want peace. I’m so tired of being dragged through the mud for the past 10 years. And my sister-in-law lied to my face… it took 10 years, but the truth always comes out… all those years, how could you do that to a family? It’s so sad.”
Teresa previously dished that Joe had “called off” two previous weddings before finally tying the knot with Melissa.
“[Melissa] moved into his house after a month they knew each other, they got engaged like after five months, after that they got married in 10 months, so everything happened so quick, so we kind of kept our mouths shut,” Teresa said last month, on her podcast.
Teresa also claimed in a separate interview that Melissa stopped answering her calls after she married her brother. The Bravo star alleged that Melissa previously spoke to her every day in order to foster a “close” relationship.
“I would call her every day, and she would take my phone calls, and then it was so weird after they got married, the phone calls stopped,” Teresa explained.” So, she would take my phone calls before she got married and then afterward, she’s like I’m not f***** answering this phone call. And things started changing,” Teresa told Heavy.
Teresa told E! News that Melissa and Joe may have damaged the family relationship beyond repair.
“I have friends who would never do some of the stuff my family has done to me, so when it’s family, it just hurts deeper,” Teresa told the outlet. “Because a stranger, you could just let that go. Who cares? You’ll never speak to that stranger again. But when your family does it to you, it hurts.”
