LAMH’s Kimmi Scott Claps Back At Comments About Her Hair Amid Cancer Diagnosis
Kimmi Scott is fighting the biggest fight of her life in the current season of Love & Marriage: Huntsville. As reported, during the November 12th episode of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, Kimmi was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, stage two.
Following her diagnosis, Kimmi decided to take her oncologist’s advice and cut off her hair to avoid the traumatic process of losing her hair to chemotherapy. Kimmi’s husband, Maurice, and her best friend stood by her side as her hairstylist began to cut her long locks. Maurice then grabbed his clippers to finish his wife’s new haircut.
The emotional episode prompted most fans to take to social media and show their support for Kimmi during such a difficult time. However, there were some fans who were more focused on if Kimmi’s hair was real or not.
One fan wrote, “Ok, I’mma go on and say what some of us feel anyway but due to the backlash because of her health it’s forbidden to say. But that wasn’t all Kimmi’s hair. That’s the same type fake hair that Mel have during her confessions. Stop playing y’all.”
Kimmi posted a reel of photos from the scene of the episode on Instagram and assured fans that her hair is indeed au natural.
“Tell the truth. Who thought I had that much hair 🤷🏽♀️ Well, I’ve been on a natural journey for quite some time. And I’m actually pretty fond of my hair. I’m cool with convo on whether I should have cut my hair or waited… But honestly, the chat will be fairly short because I did what was best “For Me”. And even with that said, seeing my short hair in the shower was still traumatic.”

“Listen, this journey has many paths. And each one of us must walk our own path with purpose and wish all others peace on their journey.” Kimmi continued before thanking fans for their love, tears, and prayers.
In an upcoming episode of LAMH, Kimmi tells Melody Holt and the rest of the crew that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
