Candiace Dillard Blasts Gizelle Bryant & Robyn Dixon For Hypocrisy In Wendy/Mia Fight
Candiace Dillard-Bassett is giving her two cents on her Real Housewives of Potomac costars Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon‘s response to the Mia Thornton and Wendy Osefo fight.
In a recent episode, Mia and Wendy got into a heated argument that turned physical. Both Gizelle and Robyn sided with Mia after Mia threw her martini in Wendy’s face. However, in Season 5, the same green-eyed bandits iced out Monique Samuels after she physically attacked Candiace while at a winery.
During an appearance on What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Candiace said she was happy that she missed the altercation.
“I’ve said many times that I’m so happy that I was not there because I don’t know what I would have done. I might have thrown something on Mia just out of anger,” she said. “I did not see the whole episode until over the weekend, because I just was working so much.”
The “Insecure” singer chimed in on Gizelle and Robyn taking Mia‘s side in the beef.
“I’m appalled. I’m disgusted. It makes me really, really angry at Gizelle and my friend Robyn,” Candiace said before adding that she “very much so” considers Gizelle and Robyn hypocritical. “You can’t go from ‘we reject violence’ to ‘well, she deserved it.’ You either stand by it or you don’t. You can’t change it because you don’t like somebody.”

Robyn received a lot of backlash for her involvement in Mia and Wendy‘s fiasco. Not only did she side with Mia, but Robyn heavily criticized Wendy‘s actions and directly told her she was antagonistic, seemingly blaming the fight on Wendy. Back in November, Robyn clarified to TODAY that she doesn’t condone Mia throwing her drink at Wendy.
“Mia was wrong for throwing the drink. I wish she didn’t do it. But my thing with Wendy was I really wanted her to stop because I didn’t want her to do something that she would regret that jeopardized her job or her reputation.”
She continued, “I explained to her that you have more to lose than Mia. … When I’m telling her ‘you’re being antagonistic,’ I’m telling her that because I’m saying you’re gonna make her do something that you don’t want her to do, because you don’t want to be caught up in it. So that was my whole point, and I’m upset that they didn’t really express that.”
At the same time, Robyn doesn’t “even understand the comparison” between Mia and Wendy’s tiff compared to Monique and Candiace’s brawl.
“In my opinion, throwing water on someone’s face is messed up. But to equate it to Monique grabbing Candiace and punching her multiple times, I just couldn’t make the connection,” she said.
