The Real Reason Gia Giudice Never Liked Melissa Gorga
Teresa Giudice opened up about the real reason why her daughter Gia doesn’t like her aunt, Melissa Gorga.
During a recent episode of Namaste B$tches, Guidice spoke about her daughter’s relationship with Teresa’s sister-in-law, Melissa. Teresa has had a strained relationship with Joe Gorga and his wife for a while now, but they have done their best to keep the peace because they’re family. During season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Gia confronted Melissa and Joe over their feud with her mother. Back in October, Gia, 21, gave an update on her relationship with Joe and Melissa to UsWeekly and said she is trying to be the “bigger person” in all this.
On the podcast episode, Teresa said Gia didn’t really like Melissa when they first met and even used to give her “dirty looks.” The Real Housewives of New Jersey star defended her daughter’s reaction at the time. “Gia did not like Melissa when they first met because Gia was three years old and she adored my brother, so she used to give Melissa — even Melissa would say — like, dirty looks.” Melissa Pfeister suggested Gia must have seen her new aunt as a threat who would take her uncle away, and Teresa agreed, “Exactly.”
While attending BravoCon 2022, Gia told UsWeekly that she doesn’t have much communication with her uncle. The college student did note that apart from “texting him for his birthday” which was August 21, they haven’t spoken much. Teresa said in September that she is totally fine with how things are now.
“I got taken advantage of for so long, for over 10 years. I got taken advantage of and finally, [Louie] came into my life and it was like, ‘That’s not happening anymore.” She continued, “I think [everyone is] going to see the truth of everything that’s been really happening [when the new RHONJ season premieres].”
Joe and Melissa didn’t attend Teresa’s wedding to Luis Ruelas which put more strain on Joe’s relationship with his sister’s family. The couple didn’t attend due to a rumor of infidelity in their marriage that Teresa allegedly started during that time. In November, RHONJ fans found out that two of Teresa’s daughters, Gia and Milania, 16, had unfollowed Joe and Melissa.
The Instagram page, AllAboutTheRealHousewives, reported on November 15, along with screenshots of the girls’ followers list. “Milania and Gia Giudice unfollow their aunt and uncle, Melissa and Joe Gorga, on Instagram.”
