90 Day Fiance’s Jovi Believes Another Baby With Yara Will Save Their Marriage

90 Day Fiance star Jovi Dufren’s marriage to Yara Zaya is in serious trouble and he believes another baby is the solution to their problems.

In Sunday’s all-new episode of 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After, Jovi and Yara argue over her wanting to stay in Europe with her mother after she fled the war in Ukraine. When Yara, 27, reunited with her family she realized how much she missed them and wanted to be with them permanently.

However, Jovi, 32, believes Yara’s place is with him in America. In an effort to lure Yara back to the states, Jovi proposes they have another baby. “I was actually thinking, if you want to come back home, how do you think you would feel about us having another baby?”

However, Yara wasn’t on board with her husband’s suggestion. “This is, like, serious right now?” Jovi said in a confessional that he didn’t want to be ‘an old dad’ and thought that right now was the best time for them to grow their family.

He insisted to his wife, “I’ve also been thinking, maybe a child could strengthen our relationship. If Yara got pregnant again, I feel like it would bring us closer.” A shocked Yara responded to Jovi’s question adding, “You want to have another baby?” she adds, “No, because I will be the person who will raise them. You’re always at work. No. No.”

The mother of one explains in a talking head confessional that it is actually the worst time for her to have another baby. “Hearing Jovi bring up another baby, it’s like, I honestly don’t know where it’s coming from. I want another baby in the future, but it’s definitely not a close future.”

She continued, “At least in four years or something — I don’t want another baby now.” Jovi insists to his wife, “now’s the time to do it, not to wait.” Yara calls out Jovi for trying to manipulate her into having another baby because she wants to stay in Europe. “So now because I say maybe I want to stay in Europe you’re trying to [drop] the bomb on me about another baby? Like, is that something you think — if we have another baby you can control me more?”

Jovi’s proposal comes after Yara started apartment shopping in Europe, so she could be closer to her family and friends. Her loved ones are dealing with fallout from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“So, the life for my friends right now is, the day in the bathtub and at night, they are under the ground,” she tells cameras, before breaking down in tears during an episode in September.

Jovi and Yara met online through a travel dating app. Jovi downloaded the app while traveling for work to meet international women. In 2018, Jovi and Yara went to Budapest to meet in person after three months of communicating through WhatsApp.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? airs Sundays, at 8 p.m. ET, on TLC.
