A Georgia judge signed off on the former couple’s settlement agreement on Dec. 1, just a mere two months after Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill announced their breakup after two years of marriage.

When Cynthia initially filed the divorce petition, she cited cheating as the reason for the dissolution of the marriage, stating, “Petitioner [Cynthia] is entitled to a divorce from the Respondent [Mike] due to inappropriate adulterous relations and moral ethics in his conduct.”

However, she’s now backpedaling. Her legal team filed an amended document, which states their marriage was “irretrievable broken.”

Cynthia’s attorney, Daniel R. Meachum, addressed the mistake, telling TMZ, “The initial divorce filing between Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill, which included inappropriate adulterous relations, was incorrect. The sole reason for the pending divorce is due to only irreconcilable differences. An amended petition is being filed immediately to correct that allegation by the legal representation of Meachum and Associates.”

Cynthia, 55, and Mike, 52, announced their split in October, but have maintained they are on good terms despite their marriage not working out.

Cynthia opened up about the end of her marriage with Mike Hill, 52, during her appearance on Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp’s podcast, Two T’s In A Pod. Bailey told the hosts on Monday that she and Hill had stopped being friends. “I felt like it was just going toward we’re just not going to be friends if we didn’t pump the brakes,” she said. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star continued to say, “This is not my first rodeo. I think friendship just has to be there in a marriage. Like, love is great, but friendship has to be there. I truly want to be with my best friend.”

The former Bravoleb said she is feeling good but has her good and bad days. Bailey added, “I don’t think either one of us regret our decision to move forward in the way we have decided to move forward. It’s not final yet. We’re still going through the process, so we’re still technically married. For me, there’s still just a lot of respect stuff on my end that I still feel like he’s my husband.” Cynthia also said she only took her ring off after the announcement was made. “It’s just weird you guys, just weird,” she noted.

The FOX Sports anchor claimed that therapy helped him end his cheating ways.

“There was a lot of counseling that I needed. It’s a lot of therapy that I needed that I didn’t know that I needed because there was a stigma in the community about seeking help,” he said. “You can have something inside of you that’s eating you alive and not know it.”

Cynthia questioned Mike’s ability to be faithful to her considering his history of cheating in prior relationships.

“He has cheated on his wives before me. What makes me so different?” She wondered during a talking head confessional in Season 13.

Cynthia Bailey exited The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2021, after being a part of the series for eleven seasons.
