‘Love Is Blind’ Iyanna Cries Over Jarrette Divorce

Love is Blind‘s Iyanna McNeely is heartbroken as she finalizes her divorce from ex Jarrette Jones. The season two star poured out her feelings in a very emotional TikTok video on Wednesday.

“It is official. Divorce really is like, a grief,” she said as she wiped away streaming tears. “As much as people laugh at how long we were married, I think my expectations made it real. My hope made it real. My effort made it real. My tears made it real.”

Iyanna continued, “So, I’m crying for that girl that I was at the beginning of this marriage — because I was so hopeful. I had less baggage. I was optimistic.”

Iyanna and Jarrette fell in love and got engaged in the pods without ever laying eyes on each other. But once they did, they fell deeper in love and said “I Do” at the altar. The After the Altar special showed the couple still married though navigating early marital issues.

In August, the couple announced their separation. In a joint statement, the reality stars said that after “much thought” they “will begin the process of divorcing.”

“What’s going on, family. After much thought, we’re saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing,” the statement began. “While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions, and that’s okay.”

The statement continued, “We hope you all give us some space as we close this chapter of our lives,” they continued. “Thank you to our close friends and family for loving us both through our experience. To the Love Is Blind family and Netflix, thank you for this unforgettable opportunity and support. Each of you have brought overwhelming love and joy into our lives.”

In her touching TikTok video, Iyanna continued, “I’m crying for the marriage I thought could work. I’m crying for the man I thought he was — that man he convinced me he was in the beginning, in between all that very-scheduled filming — there were good moments in there. There was connection. Then, cameras left and sh*t hit the wall”

Iyanna noted that though she’s grieving, she will be okay and is happy to be moving on. “But don’t get it twisted. I’m happy that I’m moving forward. I’m happy that I’m out of something that no longer works for me, something that drained the life out of me.”
