Kim Plath Interested In Recovery Program Following DUI Arrest
Welcome to Plathville star, Kim Plath, expressed her interest in participating in a recovery program following her DUI arrest in October. According to a warrant affidavit obtained by In Touch, Kim checked a box that showed she believes she would “benefit” from an abstinence-based alcoholism program.
As reported by All About The Tea, Kim was arrested on Thursday, October 20 for driving under the influence in Florida. The 50-year-old turned herself in to the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office in response to a warrant connected to a June accident. Kim was released from jail on the same day on the condition that she abstains from alcohol and criminal activity.
The incident involved both personal injury and property damage, according to docs obtained by In Touch. Documents described a “single-vehicle crash” recorded on June 10 at 11:52 p.m. A police officer stated that a vehicle “overturned” after making a left-hand turn, landing on “its roof in a ditch (filled with water.)” The mother of nine was “still in the driver’s seat” when she received aid from a witness and the police officer.
Kim “appeared to be intoxicated and had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath and person,” the report stated. Police also noticed lacerations and scrapes on the reality star’s face.
“Ms. Plath was in a cervical collar and was sitting up on the stretcher as she was brought into the Emergency Room,” the report stated. “Ms. Plath was conscious, appeared to be in a daze and had very red glassy eyes. Ms. Plath displayed Ptosis (droopy eyelids) and Mydriasis (dilated pupils).”
Kim said that she consumed “two 12-ounce margaritas” in her first statement, but then claimed that she had “nothing” to drink when asked a second time.
The incident report detailed Kim’s blood results.
“The results of the blood test for Ms. Plath was a .161 and .162 BAC [blood alcohol content.] I completed a Warrant Affidavit on Ms. Plath for DUI (Property Damage), 316.193.3c1, and issued a UTC for Careless Driving.”
Kim was released on the afternoon of her October 20 arrest.
