RHODC’s Catherine Ommanney Claims To Have Had A Fling With Prince Harry
Real Housewives of DC’s Catherine Ommanney says she had a romantic fling with Prince Harry when he was 21 and she was 34.
According to Catherine, 50, she and Prince Harry had a few dates before their relationship made it to the tabloids. The Bravo star spoke to The Sun over the weekend about her relationship with the royal because she had doubts that Harry will include her in his upcoming memoir, ‘Spare.’
“I doubt I will be in Harry’s book, as a prince can’t run off with a 34-year-old mother of two. It’s just not the done thing,” Ommanney said. She revealed that she and the prince met in 2006 at an Art Bar in London through mutual friends.
“Harry was wearing an Australian-style hat that made me laugh, so I asked him, ‘What are you doing looking like a t–t in that?’” The reality star said once she and Harry began talking, it felt like there was no one else in the room. After leaving the bar, Catherine claimed she and the Duke of Sussex went to a friend’s house where he made her a bacon sandwich. The Real Housewives of DC alum said they began play fighting for almost 15 mins before she realized she had to go home.
Ommanney explained how she and Harry ended up kissing — “It was then that he lifted me by my waist off the floor and held me against the wall. He gave me the most incredible, passionate kiss I have ever had in my life.”
At the time, Catherine was separated from her ex-husband, Stephen. Harry was in an on-and-off again relationship with Chelsey Davy. The former RHODC star said they went on a few dates before their relationship was exposed, and they didn’t see each other again until 2009.
The Bravo star admitted that if Harry weren’t a royal and 10 years older than her, he would be the perfect man. Ommanney said she nicknamed him “baby” because he loved lollipops.
“Without being arrogant, I think we both quite fancied each other even though he was way too young for me.”
After her relationship with Harry, Catherine married photojournalist Charles Ommanney in 2008, but they divorced two years later. Charles told The New York Times that their participation in reality television ruined his marriage.
He said in August 2010, “ I regretted it. I lost touch with everyone, and mix that with my marriage falling apart and the show taking over, it was very sad.”
