Kanye West Accuses Donald Trump of Insulting His Ex Kim Kardashian
Kanye West has been friends with former president Donald Trump for years now, but it seems they don’t always agree on everything!
Kanye has made headlines several times because of his friendship with Donald Trump. The rapper even visited Trump at Trump Towers to talk about “life” in 2016 after he said that he would have voted for the controversial figure during one of his concerts.
“I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? … But if I would’ve voted, I would’ve voted for Trump.”
Kanye’s close friendship with Donald is what must have motivated him to announce his run for president in 2020 in a tweet.
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future. I am running for President of the United States.”
At the time, Kanye told Forbes during an interview that he no longer supported Trump. However, the award-winning rapper has changed his tune since then and now wants the former president to be his running mate. West released what seemed to be his first campaign video where he shared details of his earlier meeting with Trump.
“The thing that Trump was most perturbed about me asking him to be my vice president,” Kanye said. He continued, “I think that was, like, lower on the list of things that caught him off guard.” The rapper added, “It was the fact I walked in with intelligence, he was really impressed by Nick Fuentes.
The “Good Morning” artist also said he and Donald spoke about his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
According to Kanye, Trump claimed to have gotten Alice Johnson out of prison because of his friendship with West and not because of Kim Kardashian, as everyone had believed. “He didn’t do it for Kim, he did it for me.” Not only that, as per Kanye, the former president also hurled several insults at Kim, which he repeated, as heard in the video, and finished by saying, “You can tell her I said that.” A shocked Kanye said, “But that’s the mother of my children.”
Kanye also said that Trump told him he was going to lose the election. “When Trump started screaming at me at the table basically telling me I was gonna lose. I mean has that ever worked for anyone in history? I’m like, hold on Trump, you’re talking to Ye!”
The rapper’s first campaign video was met with mixed reactions. Some people were happy with Kanye’s decision while others think he won’t make it.
