Teresa Guidice Called Out For Wearing Balenciaga Amid Child P*rn Ad Scandal
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is getting backlash for supporting Balenciaga after their recent scandal involving child sexualization.
The 50-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star and the 47-year-old entrepreneur traveled to Paris, France for the Thanksgiving holiday and documented their romantic getaway on social media.
The couple shared a kiss during an evening Paris, Teresa wore a Louis Vuitton shawl paired with a black feathered top and pants while Louie sported a gray blazer and black jeans.
After a very public separation and divorce from her husband of 20 years, Joe Giudice, Teresa Giudice met, then wed her soulmate Luis in August 2022.
Balenciaga recently launched an ad campaign for their new collection featuring children and teddy bears in BDSM gear. The ads drew a lot of backlash from fans across the world.
However, Teresa Guidice may have missed the memo because she appeared in photos wearing the brand’s clothes while on her trip to Paris.
In one photo taken by her husband, Luis Ruelas, Teresa, 50 wore a white sweater with the Balenciaga label written all over it. She paired the sweater with a black hat, black tights and black LV boots.
Luis, 47 also posted a mirror selfie where he was kissing Teresa on the cheek while she was wearing the Balenciaga sweater.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has yet to condemn the high fashion brand for their recent campaign that depicted children near bondage gear.
Another Real Housewives of New Jersey fan added, “Balenciaga…GREAT, another person to unfollow! You do realize there are normalizing child bondage, right? Are you ok with that? Shameful! UN FOLLOW!”
Teresa is among many celebrity supporters of the brand who have not spoken up about the ad.
Kim Kardashian who is one of Balenciaga’s biggest supporters has recently stated she’s not dropping the brand despite her fans bombarding her comment section.
Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa, Christine Quinn, Alexa Demie and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner are among other celebrities who are receiving backlash for associating with the fashion brand.
Balenciaga issued an apology and removed the campaign from all their platforms.
“We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused. Our plush bear bags should not have been featured with children in this campaign. We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms.”
One photo from the campaign featured documents from a US Supreme court case that upheld part of a federal child p*rnography law.
“We strongly condemn abuse of children in any form. We stand for children’s safety and well-being.” Balenciaga also said they were going to take legal action against the people responsible for creating the ad. “We take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for our Spring 23 campaign photoshoot.”
