Kelly Dodd Claims Armie Hammer’s Dad Died From Fentanyl Overdose
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd claims the death of Armie Hammer’s father, Michael Armand Hammer, was the result of a fentanyl overdose.
According to multiple reports, the businessman, 67, died after a long battle with cancer on November 2o.
Michael Armand Hammer was an oil baron and loving dad, who lived in the Cayman Islands. A representative for Michael Armand Hammer confirmed his passing to People on Tuesday, writing, “Michael Hammer has passed away after a long, hard fight with cancer and is now at peace.”
Armand Douglas Hammer is a former American actor. Son of businessman Michael Armand Hammer and a great-grandson of the oil tycoon Armand Hammer and the singer Baroness Olga von Root, he began his acting career with guest appearances in several television series.
In January 2021, multiple women came forward about abuse they had allegedly experienced during relationships with the actor. Paige Lorenze, who dated Hammer for several months in 2020, accused the actor of skin branding. An anonymous Instagram account also released screenshots that were allegedly Hammer’s direct messages to various women, describing various sexual fantasies including violence and cannibalism. In the wake of the allegations, actress Bella Thorne came to the defense of Hammer in an Instagram statement.
Armand was named as an official suspect in a sexual assault case with the Los Angeles Police Department. The alleged victim, Effie, was the first to anonymously share evidence of Hammer’s sordid fantasies in early 2021. She has since spoken out against the Call Me By Your Name actor, accusing him of rape.
“On April 24th, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles, during which he repeatedly slammed my head against a wall, bruising my face,” Effie said in a statement in March. “He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent. For example, he beat my feet with a crop so they would hurt with every step I took for the next week. During those four hours, I tried to get away but he wouldn’t let me. I thought that he was going to kill me. He then left with no concern for my wellbeing.”
Drunk Wives Matter activist Kelly Dodd shared her two cents on an Instagram post by Page Six about Michael Armand Hammer’s passing. “Did the coke have fentanyl?” Kelly asked, implying he died of an overdose.
Kelly Dodd, 47, has a history of making false outlandish comments, which has gotten her into trouble on more than one occasion.
The fired The Real Housewives of Orange County star, who appeared on the series from 2016 to 2021, noted that her controversial actions over the years were probably the reason for her termination by Bravo after season 15.
“Listen, ultimately, I got fired because of myself. I’m the one who got myself fired,” Dodd said during a June 2021 appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live with her husband, Rick Leventhal. “I was causing them a lot of grief. I was causing them a lot of trouble. And, you know, I’m sorry about that. Like, I feel bad.”
Condolences to the Hammer family on the passing of your beloved patriarch.
