How Larsa Pippen Legally Stole Scottie Pippen’s NBA Pension In Divorce Settlement
Larsa Pippen will be receiving a portion of her ex, Scottie Pippen’s NBA pension now that they are divorced.
Larsa, 48, and Scottie, 57, listed the date of their marriage on divorce papers as July 20, 1997. The former couple share four children together, Preston, Scotty Pippen Jr., Justin, 17, and Sophia, 14. The Real Housewives of Miami star filed for divorce on November 2, 2018, at a Los Angeles Superior Court. At the time, they had already separated in 2016. Larsa and Scottie settled their never-ending divorce in early 2022, but some of the details of their settlement have been sealed.
The former couple agreed on sharing joint, legal, and physical custody of their minor children. According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Larsa and Scottie reached a deal on spousal support, but the actual amount he agreed to pay was sealed. As was the monthly child support Scottie agreed to pay for their younger children. The court documents also state that because Larsa and Scottie were married for so long, she has a right to some of the money he made while playing in the NBA. The courts determined that Larsa will be listed as an “alternate payee” on Scottie’s NBA pension plan.
The courts found a way to determine how much money The Real Housewives of Miami star would be paid from the account. The docs state that Larsa has an interest in the money Scottie added to the account from their marriage in 1997 to their separation in 2016. Since their divorce, Larsa has been photographed on several dates in Miami with Michael Jordan’s son Marcus. Many NBA fans criticized her relationship with the 31-year-old since Michael and Scottie played on the same team — The Chicago Bulls. Larsa broke her silence on her relationship with Marcus after the two were heckled by a fan at the SoFi stadium on Sunday night during the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs game.
The fan who approached them said, “Hey Larsa, that’s what you’re doing? You’re with the boy, Mike’s son? You a cold motherf****r, ain’t you!” Larsa commented on a video of the incident that was posted on The Shade Room and cleared things up about her relationship with Marcus.
“I just met him 3 years ago I never knew him or his family. I was 21yrs old and in college when Scottie played that one year w MJ and we weren’t friends with them like everyone thinks.”
