Andy Cohen Calls Out Kathy Hilton’s ‘RHOBH’ Ultimatum
Andy Cohen is addressing Kathy Hilton’s ultimatum to fire Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne or she walks away from the Bravo reality series.
As reported, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills “friend” announced her departure from the Bravo reality series if Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne remained on the cast after the duo manufactured defaming lies about the socialite during season 12.
Weeks later, the Bravo boss is finally responding to Kathy’s demands and he doesn’t seem to take kindly to her threats.
“Everyone who’s on the show, I want them to be excited about being on the show and have a level of a desire to be on the show and feel great about it,” Andy told Us Weekly on November 17. “We’ve had this situation before with other Housewives who’ve said, ‘Look, this isn’t my group. I don’t wanna interact with X person or Y person.’ And so, it’s totally their decision.”
Andy Cohen says production has been paused before they make any casting decisions.
“It’s kind of a downtime, which is I think important between seasons,” Andy Cohen told the outlet. “Especially when the season is so volatile.”
Kathy Hilton and Lisa Rinna traded barbs during a heated exchange at the season 12 reunion. Rinna called Kathy a liar, the devil and mentally unstable — and her sister Kyle Richards never stopped nor reprimanded Rinna for her cruel insults.
The feud exploded after a cast trip to Aspen in which Rinna claims Kathy had a “psychotic” breakdown and spewed vitriol about her castmates, including her own sister, Kyle Richards.
Moving into season 13, Andy says “tweaks are always good,” season 12, and the cast included, produced “a very successful season.”
Andy Cohen also addressed Lisa Rinna’s recent tequila diss on Instagram.
“Hi I’d like to try my friend Andy Cohen’s new tequila drink please,” Lisa said in a comment, making a reference to her request for her “friend” Kendall Jenner‘s 818 Tequila, over Kathy’s Casa Del Sol, on RHOBH.
“Rinna’s comment just absolutely made me laugh,” Andy said. “I mean, I’ve called her a disaster on social media, but she really aced that one.”
TMZ caught up with Lisa Rinna leaving Jayde’s Market in Beverly Hills and asked her about Kathy’s ultimatum, she said, “I can work with anyone. Of course I can. I can work with anyone.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is currently on hiatus.
