Bravo executive producer, Andy Cohen, introduced the fresh cast of the RHONY reboot during this year’s BravoCon. The diverse cast consisted of Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Dana Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, and Lizzy Savetsky. Despite the new show just starting to film, there is already drama on set of the reboot that has forced one of the newbies to leave the show. New York influencer, Emily Gellis, shared the details of Lizzy’s departure on her Instagram.

Emily began by saying, “I know what happened. New York is a small place. This person I feel has been down this road before.” The influencer also questioned why Bravo was keeping quiet over Lizzy’s departure. She said she was ‘zero percent surprised’ after hearing what went down.”

Gellis added, “100 percent lines up with this person. It’s hard to be on television if you have extreme views and you don’t want to hear other people’s point of view.” Despite not mentioning Lizzy’s name, Emily said that the new cast member would be phased out of the reboot slowly. Sources confirmed to Page Six that Savetsky, who is Jewish, had received a lot of anti-semitic comments after she was announced to join the show.

Lizzy confirmed her departure with a post on her Instagram explaining her reasons. “I will not be returning on the Real Housewives of NYC. As a proud orthodox Jewish woman I thought participating in this series would be a great chance to represent people like me and share my experience.” She continued, “Unfortunately from the time of my announcement in the cast I was on the receiving end of a torrent of anti semitic attacks. As this continued I realized that this path was no longer right for me and my family. I’m looking forward to my next chapter.” A rep for Bravo told Variety about the influencer’s decision. “After thoughtful consideration and discussion with Lizzy, we have reached the mutual conclusion that Lizzy will not be a cast member on RHONY.”
