Christine Brown Begins Filming ‘Sister Wives’ in Salt Lake City, Utah Home

Sister Wives star, Christine Brown, has welcomed TLC cameras into her Salt Lake City, Utah home, one year after announcing her split from spiritual husband, Kody Brown.

Christine took to Instagram Tuesday to share her exciting news. The TLC star posted her announcement alongside a beaming selfie.

“I’m finally filming in my house in Salt Lake!!” Christine wrote. “So excited! #sisterwives #filming” and “#newbeginnings”

Fans cheered her on in the post’s comment section, with one user writing—”When I tell you I am so proud of this woman! I feel like she is showing women, hey you can start over and you don’t have to be unhappy for someone else to be happy.”

Christine’s news comes as the reality series airs her final days with the Brown family, which included a family meeting that Christine described as “one of the saddest” conversations of her life. Kody exploded during the intense discussion, blasting Christine for her decision to leave the plural marriage.

“This is what I remember. You were interested in the family, not in the man. That’s been your mantra,” Kody said to Christine. “But it became about the man and not about the family. And that, I think, is my angry place. That’s the reason I’m struggling with this is because we have invested and invested and invested, and it wasn’t about the family, it was about the man. And this is my frustration and it’s also my accusation.”

While Christine is no longer a sister wife, her relationships with Janelle Brown and her children remain strong. The upcoming episode of the reality show will feature Christine’s daughter, Mykelti, visiting Kody’s only legal wife, Robyn Brown, with her new baby. 

“Even though I know that I have 100 percent support from Mykelti, I know that she also supports Robyn 100 percent,” Christine said in a sneak peek look at Sunday’s episode. “She can balance like nobody I know.” 

Mykelti’s visit played out after Christine made it clear to Robyn that she needed “space” within their rocky relationship. 

“Are you in a place where you just wanna go do your thing and those of the kids that have a relationship with you, you’ll spend time with them or whatever?” Robyn asked Christine during the most recent episode. “And then the rest of us that maybe you don’t have a great relationship with, do we just need to give you your space?”

Christine replied—“I think for right now, I need space.”

“I have definitely been mourning the loss of the family culture and there’s this part of me that has wondered if Kody’s not in the picture for her, will it be easier for her to have a relationship with me and my kids?” Robyn wondered, in a side interview.
