According to The Sun, sources close to the Williams family revealed that Kevin, 22, has not yet spoken to his mother since she left a treatment facility in Malibu. “Wendy has not reached out to her son since she left the rehab. While she was in treatment, they were talking, but the minute she got out, the communication stopped.”

The source said the mother-and-son duo’s relationship was going well until she left the rehab center. “Kevin has been through hell this year with everything going on with his mom. It breaks his heart that things seemed to be going well while she was in rehab, but as soon as she got her freedom, she hasn’t reached out to him since.”

The source also said Kevin Jr. is doing his best trying to finish his last year of school amid the drama Wendy is going through, but it has been challenging for him. The Wendy Williams Show host checked herself into rehab in August over alcohol abuse. A year ago, sources told The Sun that Kevin Jr. had given her an ultimatum.

“He told her he won’t be in her life unless she fixes herself,” one source claimed. Their relationship took a turn for the worst during the summer when Wendy’s brother, Tommy Williams, claimed Kevin had flown out to New York to see his mother but he was denied entry at her door.

Tommy said in a video posted to his YouTube channel, “She is not our celebrity. She’s not the family celebrity. She’s a member and she has her son out there like he’s the paparazzi.” After Wendy left the rehab facility, a rep for the former TV host told Page Six that she was home and healing. “Wendy is excited about the road ahead and looking forward to releasing her many projects,” the rep said. One of the projects she might be focusing on is her previously announced podcast show, The Wendy Experience.

The Wendy Williams Show ended in June after decades on daytime television. It was replaced by Sherri Shepherd’s self-titled show, Sherri. Wendy had been absent from the show for a while prior to its cancellation due to health issues. The former The View panelist had been a guest host on the show for a while before she went on to host her own daytime talk show.
