Bethenny Frankel Claps Back at Carole Radziwill and Luann de Lesseps Podcast Diss!
Bethenny Frankel is responding to her former co-stars who slammed her new podcast show, ReWives, where she talks about the housewives.
After Frankel, 52, launched her new podcast, Luan De Lesseps, 57, said it was sad and pathetic. Carole Radzwill, who used to be close friends with Bethenny, said the show lacked originality and would only be about Bethenny trashing other housewives. While speaking on Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap, the SkinnyGirl founder said that her former co-stars were being hateful because the podcast is already successful. “I’m sorry they are having a hard time with this … it makes sense. It is already very successful. It’s an incredible idea. It’s got buzz. It’s interesting.”
The Real Housewives of New York alum said her co-stars’ comments were predictable but “she hopes they feel better soon.” Bethenny said, “I can’t apologize for having great ideas and for being successful.” She added, “I’ve tried to do that for so many years. Part of the reason I left ‘RHONY’ was having to do with feeling self-conscious about my success and the great opportunities that I have had first … and that other people have been inspired by and done themselves.”
Bethenny also shared more about her podcast during the interview. “Whatever your preconceived notion and expectation are of this [podcast] … it’s not that. It’s not run-of-the-mill. It’s giving everything that you want, you just didn’t request,” she said. Bethenny added that her show has so much inside information that she wants to break it down for fans. Frankel also said that at first, she and her publicist didn’t want to do a podcast about housewives. “We didn’t want to walk back into this world that we walked out of intentionally, but this is not walking back into this.”
She added, “It’s having a conversation about something that is embedded in my history, trajectory, business, and where I got my start.” Bethenny’s podcast is set to premiere on November 14. Her podcast comes three years after she left The Real Housewives of New York.

The TV personality told People about the ReWives podcast, “So watching it back, I’m finding different things that were never talked about before. I’m not just picking up on the big, shiny items. It’s really about narrowing in on what’s insightful and talking about the whole themes in a way that somebody who has never seen the show would be as wildly entertained as someone who’s obsessed.”
