Ramona Singer Confirms She’s Been Fired From The Real Housewives of New York City

Ramona Singer confirmed what All About The Tea already told you — she was fired from Real Housewives of New York City after the network drastically overhauled the Big Apple reality series.

After 13 seasons on the show, the former reality star caught up with Page Six to dish about her exit.

“I do not want to do the show any longer,” she told the outlet on Friday. “It’s not for me at this time.”

However, sources tell the outlet that the RHONY alum was actually not offered a contract to return.

After a low-rated Season 13 of The Real Housewives of New York City which concluded without having a reunion, Bravo decided to regroup with a radical new plan. The reboot split the reality series in two parts — a legacy show with a cast of RHONY OGs and a new primary cast with all-new Housewives.

Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan are slated to join the legacy cast, along with alums — Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin and Dorinda Medley, and more undetermined vets.

Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Lizzy Savetsky, Jessel Taank and Brynn Whitfield will all be joining for Season 14. The news was revealed at a Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen during BravoCon22, when the ladies surprised fans by walking on stage.

Sources tell the tabloid that Ramona Singer was being considered for the legacy cast but she started trashing the “Legacy” show in the press, so the network changed their minds.

“I’ve been there for a long time. I mean, never say no, never say never,” she said on “Reality with the King” podcast late last month.

“But I also feel like the ‘Legacy’ [show], how could it be really good? The people they are gonna bring back are the people they didn’t want to renew anyways.”

Ramona added, “So now what? Are you gonna call it ‘The Loser Show,’ the ‘Loser Legacy’?”

The source added, “I don’t think that was the defining moment,” chuckles the source, “but she does seem to put her foot in her mouth a lot.”

Because of Covid restrictions during that time, The Real Housewives of New York City Season 13 was doomed to fail. The cast included an African-American cast member, Eboni K. Williams, for the first time in RHONYC history. Many episodes were fraught with discussions of race and politics, with Eboni accusing the mainly white cast of being white supremacist. This claim did not sit well with many viewers, who protested Eboni’s place on the show, and it reflected in the season’s low ratings.

Eboni K Williams

The Real Housewives of New York City didn’t have their infamous 3-part reunion for Season 13 due to an  investigation into allegations of racism made by Eboni against show vet, Ramona Singer.

All the cast members were interviewed extensively and HR was unable to find the evidence to corroborate Eboni’s claims. And by the time the probe was concluded, the window of opportunity for a reunion was gone.
