‘Sister Wives’ Fans Believe Meri Brown and BFF Jenn Are Lesbian Lovers

Is Meri Brown switching teams? As her marriage to Kody Brown is non-existent,  Sister Wives fans speculate that she and her best friend, Jenn Sullivan, may be  lesbian lovers.

During a recent episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown grieved over the loss of his third wife, Christine Brown, divorcing him. However, he showed zero emotions towards his first wife, Meri Brown, and made it clear that she’s free to go.

“I don’t really consider myself married to Meri,” Kody asserted in a talking head confessional. “If she wanted to move on and marry another, she wouldn’t get an argument with me.”

Kody continued, “I don’t believe that we can ever be functional. And I don’t believe that I will ever be emotionally safe with her.” 

Meri Brown and Kody’s marriage ended in 2014 — he  divorced her so that he could legally marry his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, and adopt her three kids from a previous marriage.

Jenn is Meri’s ride or die, who supported her throughout her catfish ordeal and her rocky relationship to Kody.

Back in 2015, Meri was the victim of a catfishing scam. The scandal was brought back to life again during the November 6, 2022 episode of Sister Wives, when Meri praised her best friend, Jenn Sullivan for supporting her throughout the scandal.

“Jenn knows everything about my life.” Meri commented a talking head confessional. “She basically knows everything about my situation with Kody.”

Meri added, “She was the one person I could trust during that whole catfishing situation years ago. She really earned my trust during that time.” 

Kody and Meri met in 1989 and married in 1990. They share one child together, a son/daughter named Leon (formerly known as Mariah) who was born in 1995. 

Sister Wives viewers were introduced to Jenn Sullivan, during Sunday night’s episode. She visited Meri in Utah at her bed & breakfast and stayed for the summer to manage the inn. 

In the episode, Kody commented that Meri needs a friendship outside of the family because she doesn’t have close bonds with her sister wives. Meri explains how Jenn was there for her during the time her mother passed. Jenn dropped everything to be by Meri’s side and Meri comments that it felt good to be someone’s priority (because she doesn’t have that with Kody). 

In a talking head confessional, Meri stated that she still considers herself married to Kody, although they don’t have an intimate relationship anymore. Kody on the other hand says he doesn’t see himself married to Meri anymore and she’s welcome to find another man, he would not oppose it. 

After watching the episode, fans on social media speculated that Meri and Jenn could potentially be lesbian lovers, especially since Jenn supplies Meri with the emotional support that she’s yearning for from Kody.

One person wrote, “Meri’s friendship with Jen should set a standard for her romantic relationship with Kody. If the person doesn’t make you feel like you matter you shouldn’t want it.”

A second tweeted, “So Meri and Jen….is anyone else thinking what I’m thinking?”

Someone else commented with a rainbow flag, “Jenn and Meri “

Another noted, “I think Meri and Jenn are more than friends, they seem more like lovers.”

A fan speculated, “Meri, is BFF the new term for lover?”
